-   I had the same problem too, fortunatley it had literally 3 days of the guarantee remaining, the man at comet wasnt impressed!
When i got it back, 3 weeks later, they had repaired the motherboard "fault" and wi-fi, replaced the optical drive and put on a totally new keyboard!
Regrettably within 6 months things started to go wrong again, i lost faith and dumped it in favour of an Acer - maybe i should have spent that little bit more in the first place! -   Guest

-   mine kicked the bucket as well 2 years and it just died repair shop says i need a new motherboard. i take it this is a common problem. do we have any comeback with packard bell???-   crazylegs79

-   Motherboard have integrated VGA. I guess VGA is currupted because there is no display on the screen. Juts a pitch black. Power lights HDD light work. But no display. If it was system crash or HDD problem I should have be able to see a display such as BIOS setting, or boot up or blue death screen. No display...
Only had it for one year...
Cheap laptop...
