The problem you are having right now is because windows media player doesnt recognize your sansa..You need to make sure that your device mode is under MTP mode...To check that you need click on tools, menu, usb mode..and its going to show you the mode..select the appropriate one..Then make sure your computer has all the latest update from microsoft...check to see if your device is listed under device manager..if it is uninstall it and reinstall it..to check to see if the device is listed under device manager...click on start menu, right click on my computer, right click on properties, click on hardware and then device manager..sometimes it might have a yellow exclamations mark next to it..right click and uninsatll it and reinstall it..But make sure you have that device plug in on the back of your computer instead of the front..Let me know what happen before you rate me..
I hope that helps

How do you put music on the SanDisk Sansa Clip MP3 Player

1. First, you have songs saving in your computer.
2. You have 2 ways to put music on the Sandisk Sansa Clip:
2.1. Plug device into computer, Drag and Drop music from your computer into "Music" folder of the Sandisk Sansa Clip.
2.2. Use Windows Media Player in your computer to transfer songs to your device; Plug device to computer, open Windows Media Player, click on Sync tab, drag and drop music into "Drag items here " on the right side of the windows media player, click on Start Sync button.
Good luck

MY lap top does not have a cd drive and i need to get a download for the sansa clip. so that i can put music on it off of my laptop

No extra software is needed if you are running XP or Vista. Just plug the player into an empty usb port and wait for windows to recognize it. Then you can drag and drop your music into the music folder under the internal memory of the player or you can sync it through Windows Media Player.

MY SANSA ISNT RECOGNIZED BY MY PC!

Try connecting it to another computer and see if it will recognize it as sansa or removable drive. if it does then download the sansa update software and install it. Make sure you disconnect the sansa and connect it when asked. This will update your sansa and add the Usb Mode. Try to connect it to your computer at home it should recognize.... link for update software (http://mp3support.sandisk.com/sansa/Installer/1082/SansaUpdaterInstall.exe) download to a flash drive much easier Make sure USB mode is MSC I use my computer to drag and drop my music from my music folder to the sansa media folder.... Open my computer click on folder what ever folder has your music in it and drag to media folder and drop (click on the (+)where it say's sansa )

I have a sansa clip mp3 player and I lost the disk???

It should be recognized by your computer. I did a search for drivers and they are not needed for this model.
For music, After the computer has recognized it has been plugged in. Start, My Computer, and it should show up in there as (my sansa or sansa clip) something along those lines.
You may open it and drag your music files into the accroding folders inside the device.
OR You may use Windows Media Player 11 to Sync to your Mp3 Player. The Sansa Clip has problems with Windows Media Player 10 so i would reccomend using Media Player 11 to sync.
For future help or more questions please comment,
I hope this has helped :)

Not recognizing my PC

TRY THIS :

In your player's menu, go into Settings, choose USB mode, and change it to MSC. This will cause the player to show up in Windows as if it were a flash drive, and you can add and delete music by drag and drop into the player's Music folder.
OR GO TO :

Cant download music

The songs need to be formatted for a sansa. Use Windows Media Player 11. Don't use Rhapsody, too many problems.
Load a CD into your computer, on the Toolbar of WMP11 click rip, After all songs are ripped, hook up your Sansa to the computer via USB cable, Click Sync. WMP11 will not only sync the sansa it will sync the micro card also. You have your choice where you want to put the music. Drag and drop the music in the box to the left where you synced your sansa and at the bottom of the box click Sync. All music will be synced to your sansa or card which ever one you chose. Understand, when the sansa starts up, the card syncs with the sansa, you don't have to do anything. Try this and let me know how it works.

Its not plug and playing Sandisk 240m 1g

Hi blackmajik, I just got a Sandisk m250. Windows wouldn't recognize it either until I updated my Windows Media Player to version 11. Now XP sees it just fine and the MP3 player syncs with WMP and accepts and plays music!
