Question about Pantech Cell Phones
Hello, kindly contact your service provider it could be a network problem or probably your sim have been sim locked to the old phone.so for it to work perfectly with the new phone it has to be unlocked.so i solely advice you to contact your service provider and also the store you got the new phone from to confirm if it's not sim locked.there is no settings that an external body could offer you than you calling them for enquiries.
thanks for using fixya,

Ok, this is most likely due to the fact that your "Old" card, isn't 100% compatible, with that model phone, I would assume that some "Settings" may be slightly different form phone to phone. You need to put the SIM back into the "old" phone, and then reset that SIM, and ensure that any "Settings" that are phone dependent are NOT active. You see you "old" SIM card is remembering all the OLD settings, and is getting stuck, at some point. I have also had it where for whatever reason the cards SIM's just do NOT work, with some other brands of phone even within same manufacturer? If possible, also see if another SIM will work? As we really do need to "Prove" the "New" phone, ensure that it actually works, the ONLY way to do that is by using another SIM card, you have to get a "Know Good" until you have that you cannot determine what part, the SIM, Settings, or the Phone, itself, is the faulty "Bit". Please have a read of the manual, and reset the unit, and re-setup again.
Above is a user manual to help, above that is a quick start guide below, is the Panatech, website, so if required you can contact them..
