Honda uses the same engine, GX360K1, on the 3813 and my 4514. The official Honda number for the filter is 15410-MJ0-405, Honda code 1384445 and has the following specs:

20 MM X 1.5 MM threads
8-11 PSI Bypass
Gasket: 2.475"OD 2.173"ID 0.233" thick.
25/30 Micron rated

Here is my list of substitutes:
Bosch 3312
Mobil 1 M1-104/5
STP 2808
Napa 1334
Wix 51334

Do not have a fram # though

Trying to find a oil filter for my comfort pro unit. The part number is 96-101-33k the old filter has no numbers on it to cross reference at parts store. Does anyone know what filter it takes?

baldwin filter B7139 replaces carrier number 96-101-33k ( P-96-101-33K)
If you do have a Balwin supplier handy then that number will cross reference to other makes
It is not a special filter as can be seen by going google and typing in---oil filter part number 96-101-33k
there are lots of pages with replacement part numbers and what they fit

2011 Chevy Equinox 3.0 liter Q. what oil filter is used? (ex., fram ph10060)

There is nothing listed on Fram's web catalog but if you go by any GM dealership, you can either buy it or ask the partsman what the part number is and then use the cross reference guide on the website to get a Fram number, or any other manufacturer. All of them have cross guides. It's unlikely that GM has designed a completely new filter for this vehicle, but it is possible. If so, it will take awhile for the aftermarket to catch up.

i know that the ac delco number is PF 1218C for the 305, 350, and 454 (you did not specify your engine). they should have a cross reference book from delco to fram.

What is the fram cross reference part # for oil filter #78-69539-0110

After doing extensive search online about the cross reference with FRAM oil filters and eliminating the Briggs & Stratton oil filter number 78-69539-0110, I found the B&S REAL oil filter number.
It is: 695396 which can be cross referenced with FRAM.
I called FRAM and they gave me the oil filter of PH8170. But keep in mind that this filter is only located at auto parts stores and is a wee bit pricey.
I opted for the FRAM oil filter of PH3614 and using the SAE 10W-30 oil. This filter is great IF you have room for it. It is about 1 inch longer than PH8170. It is less expensive than PH8170 and far more available. I got mine at Walmart.
Not only did they have it in the PH3614 standard oil filter, but also in the ToughGuard TG3614 and also the XtraGuard XG3614 for a bit more filtering.
Remember though, if you go more than the standard PH3614 oil filter that it takes a bit more pressure to filter our stuff through the filter as there is more filtering compound in it. Same with XG3614. More filtering compound.
The TG and XG are great when you use synthetic or synthetic blend. They work better.
This info. was given to me by the FRAM experts when I called them. Hope this helps.

Does the Honda 3813 take a positive or negative ground?

Most all garden tractors here are negative ground. I have seen only a few things positive ground, and that was an old land rover and old jaguar, Both british made. I couldn't find any reference to it being different. Hope this helps.

I need to know the type of oil and filter for an oil change ?

Your Honda dealer can supply you with the correct oil filter. If you don't have a dealer near you, an auto store or farm store can usually order a Fram oil filter equivalent. DO NOT use car oil in your motorcycle, it will shorten wet clutch and transmission gear life. Honda recommends 10w-40 or 20w-50 weight oil with a JASO MA rating. Any oil that says "energy conserving" on the label should be avoided.

What type of oil filter does my suzuki intruder 1500 use?

All VL 1500s use a spin on type oil filter (just like the ones used on most cars). The filter is located on the front of the engine right between the lower oil cooler lines. Just follow the lines from the cooler to the engine and you'll see it. You will probably have to go to a cycle shop or order it on-line to get one though. Although your local auto parts store might be able to order you one as well.
The FRAM part # is PH 6018. If your local parts store doesn't carry FRAM filters they can cross reference the number or should be able to look it up for you.

Good Luck.

I am looking for sevice bulletins for honda 3813 lawn tractor

I had a similar problem with my Honda 3813. When I tore it down, I found that the 3813 has a slow delay cyclinder - something like a shock absorber - the slowly puts pressure on the clutch plate after you let up on the clutch pedal. In my case, the clutch is old and worn, this is exactly the symptom I experienced because the clutch was nearly worn out - it took like 10 or more seconds to get going. A new drive clutch and a little adjustment fixed this problem for me. To replace the clutch without removing the engine I had to cut the cross brace plate on the bottom of the tractor.

To get to this you need to remove all the tin that is under the seat part of the tractor - a real nuisance.

Also, it took me 3 months to get the clutch from the Honda dealer. .... definitely not helpful! Good thing I had a John Deere as a backup, I've never had trouble getting parts quickly for that.
