Somehow deleted artist names and song titles on phillips gogear

I was deleting several songs from my Phillips gogear SA52xx mp3 player. When I unplugged the device from my P.C it took several minutes to update. After updating I noticed that all of my songs and their artist names all say unknown. Now i cant seem to add anymore songs to player even though I still have 1.8 gigs of space left

Try to reformat it. It might be a virus or a bug.

Try resetting the MP3 player: locate the little reset hole (it is quite small) and give it a poke with something blunt like a unraveled paper clip.

Delete songs

If it is anything like my MP3 player, you would hook up the USB cable to your computer and it will get a letter assigned in My Computer. When I open that letter, all my songs are listed and I can add and delete.

HOW DO I DELETE ITEMS

In Windows Media Player, click on Library, and then find the icon of the GoGear. When you click on the icon, a set of folders should show up, one of which is labelled "Songs." Just highlight an individual song, and then press the "delete" button on the computer's keyboard. Once you are comfortable with this, you can highlight entire sections of songs, and delete songs in bulk if you need to.

Phillips GoGear 4Gb - Can't sync songs onto player...

This is only a makeshift solution.
I use a philips gogear sa52xx and found out, that deleting the drivers, then reconnecting the Player and pressing F5 in the explorer allows me to normally access the philips gogear sa52xx for about 30 seconds. After that, out of nowhere the drivers will sever and the Code 10 error appears. So, another disconnect - deinstall of the driver - reconnect - F5 in the explorer until the Player appears and then sync. The proplem is, that this works best (maybe only) with mp3 files...
So convert your music files into mp3 first, than do above steps for drag 'n' drop.
Usually, you need to do the whole procedure 2 times for a CD, sometimes 3.
