You'll need to remove the belt. Disconnect the high pressure line and the return line. There should be three bolts holding the pump on, you can get to them through the holes in the pulley.

1) Have you snapped the pulley belt, the power steering pump is powered by this? 2) check the track rod arms and where they enter of the steering rack. Sometimes the bearing that keeps the rack central breaks and the rack then rubs the outer tube causing a dragging noise and heavy steering
This could be anything from the pump in the transmission to the alternator bearings/bushings to the power steering pump. Could be an idler pulley bearing, but I doubt it. Hint: If the noise is very high-pitched, check the alternator. If it is a lower, medium-high-pitch sound that changes some when you turn the wheels, check the power steering pump. If it is almost like a moan or a "Whooo" sound, that's the transmission pump.

Either the power steering hoses will need to be loosened and removed for replacement, or the canister is leaking and you will have to remove all the hoses and bolts to remove the pump.
I had that same problem but mine did have screw fitting but it would not come off without heat so I had to have a friend use the torch. It's a pain in the a$$ to line the new one back up right...good luck
