Yes, most definitely it is the digitizer. The iPhone display consists of 3 parts. The outer glass that your finger actually touches, the LCD screen that brings you the picture and the digitizer that senses your touch. You can purchase a new digitizer at several Ebay stores for under $15. I would only recommend letting someone perform this repair if they have done it before. It's not very difficult, however there are very delicate ribbon cables that can be broken if it is pulled apart too quickly. I hope this helps you!

    This is a follow up to my last solution: Anytime you encounter a small glitch on the iPhone, always try holding down the power button & the home button for about 10 seconds. This reset will not cause you to lose any stored info and you'll be able to rule out any chance that it just needed to be reset. In many cases this will solve your problem.

Hi, I droped my iPhone 4 in water. The iPhone stopped responding. The touch function is no longer working. I would like to know if its possible to repair it and what is the estimate...

It all depends on the extent of the damage. The digitizer is just one thing to stop working. The rest of the phone might go soon, and water damage isn't covered under warranty.
I can get you a website link of parts, but you might just be better off buying another phone.

My phone is not responding to touch nor will it reset properly?

Hi, Have you disconnected during update/Jailbreak?

Try pressing the top and home screen together for a FULL 10 seconds (keep them pressed even though you see the slide to switch off button after 4 seconds), this switches it off properly & restarts with the top button...
let me know pls..

My iphone not responding to its touch screen

Sorry but your digitizer/lcd module needs replacement. Take it to the apple store and see if they'll give you a replacement. If they don't there are third party iPhone Repair Services that can fix it for you. There are also free iPhone Repair guide that show you how to fix it yourself. The part is on Ebay.

My iPhone touch screen is not responding at all

It sounds like a hardware problem, not software. I would try calling 1800myiphone(180069474663). Yes that is one digit more than normal but it is a specific iphone help line. I've had to use it before.
