Toshiba regza 32hl67 losing its' picture and motion is slow

I have a toshiba regza 32hl67 LCD tv which is only 2 1/2 years old. The picture on this unit just started to go the other day (screen darkens but images are still visible and the motion/movement is very slow). I contacted Toshiba and they just said to unplug the tv for 3 minutes to reset the tv. This doesnt work. I am VERY upset with Toshiba, after paying $800 for a tv that only lasted 2 1/2 years. If anyone has had similar issues and know how to fix it, please let me know. Thanks!

Horizontal Green Lines On Screen. No Picture Visible. Problem is intermitent.

Are you certain of the connection? Sometimes the connector becomes loose or otherwise loses integrity. Maybe it's the cable (HDMI, right?)--or both the TV's connector and that. They may become worn.

Be careful with your LCD screen--they are more delicate than most people realize.....

If you are using a hdmi cable take it off and switch to component cables if the problem goes away keep it that way. Sometimes the hdmi hookups have bugs like this.

Intermittent picture break up

What is your model number? Also when you say picture is breaking up do you mean the signal breaks up? Does it happen when you have the menu up also? Are you using cable or regular TV?

I have a Toshiba Regza LCD 32"-model #32HL67. I can turn on the tv and see the screen just fine with a clear picture and hear audio too, but after about 2 seconds the screen will go black but i can...

Eight out of 10 times this would actually be the inverter board where usually a transformer has gone bad. It's not worth fixing the transformer (although often possible) - just replace the inverter itself.

if you can't find many inverters online, e.g. on eBay, that's a good sign you're on the right track with the diagnose.

The 9th time it would be the power board, usually due to bad filter capacitors at the exit; those are usually seen with ***** eye on the power board itself.

The 10th time it could be something else such as the main board or the T-Con; in fact, probably less often that that.

Hope this helps. If it does please rate it accordingly. We enjoy positive feedback :-)

Regza intermittantly blacks out. Can be when it

Repaired a Toshiba 32hl67 by reseating the connectors on every board and cutting the wire tie on the back of the screen. I know it sounds crazy but I think the wire tie is what did it. I think it put enough pressure on the wires to cause just enough disruption in the currant flow to make the control board think something was really wrong and it shut down the screen as a safety measure. What every the case the TV work flawlessly now.

No new video card required. I just reset the television by holding the on/off button for five seconds (yellow light on front panel blinks repeatedly). I then cycled power using the remote control and my picture came back. Worked for me. Hope it works for you.
