Question about Whirlpool 25.6 cu. ft. Side-by-Side Refrigerator with In-Door-Ice Dispensing System
Whirlpool side by side refrigerator 5 years old GS55HAXN
Once in 24h water is accumulating and freezing on the bottom of the freezer (about 2 cups).
So I need to remove a sheet of ice daily from the bottom,
else the next day the water will dropped to the floor.
This is a common problem for the whirlpool frige. What is going on is the defrost drain line has been clogged with a piece of ice. so when the frige goes into a defrost the ice water has nowhere to go. What you need to do is either attach a heat probe to the heating element going down into the drain line, or just take some hot, hot, hot water and pour it doen into the drain hole until the ice has melted..Just make sure everything is dry before turning the frige back on or youll get more ice.
