I have canon digital camera A620 7.1 meg. Suddenly, it stopped working and nothing displays on the screen. Also, it is not capturing any pictures and only dark screen gets saved when we take pictures. Any kind of help in this will be appreciated.
I did hav the same cam tat u hav.... n i actually had the same problem.... there was some problem with the circuit.. n when i had given it for service... it din seem to work... so id recommend u to get a new cam....

I don't have a solution, but I have the same problem. I found one posting elsewhere that said that this was a "common" problem. That person's camera was under warranty. Mine isn't, but it's less than 2 years old.
So camera doesn't give live view to take picture? and you can view old / stored pictures OK, is it?
If yes, then it is problem of CCD imager in Canon A80 and this part needs to be replaced.

Canon will fix this for you for free. It's an inherent fault with the S400. It has a little internal button battery that causes the problem as it gets old and run down. Check this website for more info. Look for the bright/bold yellow post describing how to return to Canon.
