Question about Saitek Pro Flight Yoke System Flight Simulator

Speed doesn't work

When I increase the throttle, the correct speed doesn't show. If I set the throttle to 50 knots, the plane goes 150 knots. How do I adjust so the plane flies at the speed I set the throttle to. Do the T1 T2 T3 T4 T5 and T6 buttons have anything to do with it?

The markings on the TQ are not to be used literally. I suggest you use it to get the speed you want on your gauge and ignore markings on the TQ iteslf. Try re-calibrating in your sim program so it knows what the full range of the throttle is.

no the buttons does not have anything to do with this, first you need to recailibrate the flight yoke. then go back into flight simulator and check the senitivity levels move them all the way to the right the null needs to be to the left let me know if this takes care the problem if not we can do some more testing.

Is there a speed limit for airplanes?


There are some speed limits for certain types of airspace. Airliners are always in contact with air traffic control and in order to keep the required separation of aircraft sometimes the controllers will ask the pilot to maintain an airspeed. More than likely you experienced a slowdown while your plane was beginning an approach, During approach controllers have to maintain specific spacing between aircraft and often must slow them down behind slower aircraft. Your plane very likely was slowing down from approx 570 knots to 250 knots or less for the approach.

  • Straight and Level Cruise:
Start by setting the RPM to a cruise setting of 2200 RPM, using the throttle. This should give us a cruise speed of about 108 Knots.
Use the yoke to maintain level flight by keeping the small aircraft symbol level and exactly on the "Artificial Horizon" line of the six pack . Keep scanning the rest of the six pack to help maintain level flight. Scanning the six pack will show if you are going straight or turning, climbing or descending or if the airspeed or altitude starts to change. Always use small corrections to the aircraft's attitudes and wait to see the response.

  • Climbing Phase:
We will climb by increasing the throttle to full throttle. Now you can pull back on the yoke to raise the aircraft nose to about ten degrees above the horizon. Now set your climb speed (using the yoke), by changing this 10 degree climb, until you have an airspeed of about 80 knots. meanwhile continuing to scan the six pack at all times and make sure that nothing is changing that you don't want to change. Scanning the six pack will show if you are going straight or turning. or if the airspeed starts to change.
This Aircraft will stall (in a turn) at approximately 53 knots (no flaps) so keep your turns shallow and avoid any speed below 75 knots to allow yourself a margin of safety. Always use small corrections to the aircraft's attitudes and stay well out of any limit zones that are indicated on the instruments.

  • Descent Phase:
A descent to a lower altitude is done by reducing the throttle to an engine speed of about 1500 RPM while setting the air/fuel mixture at full rich (red knob fully inward). If you intend to be descending a long time at low engine power, then you should use carburetor heat to prevent icing. At reduced RPM, the engine will not be producing as much heat so we may have to put on the carburetor heat, or you can occasionally increase the engine speed for a minute to gain some heat and clear the engine.

Cruise control stop working light dont show on dash can a fuse be out if so where is it located


There are three fuse's in the smart junction box , do you know where it is ? It's under the dash panel left side ! The fuse's are F2.27- 10amp , F2.32 - 10amp , F2.17 - 15 amp . They power the speed control servo ! Maybe the control switch's on the steering wheel don't work.
A little back ground on the system ! Speed Control The vehicle speed control system consists of the following components:
  • Brake pedal position (BPP) switch
  • Speed control actuator cable
  • Speed control switches
  • Speed control deactivator switch
  • Speed control indicator
  • Speed control actuator
  • Smart junction box (SJB)
  • Principles of Operation
    The speed control system is designed to maintain vehicle a set speed above 48 km/h (30 mph). After the speed control ON switch is pressed, pressing the speed control switch SET/ACCEL will activate the speed control actuator. To increase a set speed, either press and hold for continuous acceleration, or momentarily tap the speed control switch SET/ACCEL for 1.6 km/h (1 mph) acceleration increments. To decrease a set speed, press and hold the speed control switch COAST until the target speed is reached, or momentarily tap the speed control switch COAST for 1.6 km/h (1 mph) deceleration increments. When the speed control system has been disabled by tapping the brake pedal, the speed control switch RESUME can be pressed and the vehicle will return to the original set speed if the vehicle is traveling over 48 km/h (30 mph) and the speed control switch OFF has not been pressed.
    NOTE: The deactivator switch is provided as an additional safety feature. Normally, when the brake pedal is pressed, an electrical signal from the brake lamp circuit to the speed control actuator will deactivate the system. Under increased brake pedal effort, the deactivator switch will open and remove power to the speed control actuator, releasing the throttle independently of the speed control actuator.
    NOTE: The clockspring provides the electrical interface between the steering column wiring and the speed control switches in the steering wheel.
    The inputs to the speed control actuator are:
    • Vehicle speed signal
    • Speed control switches
    • Brake pedal position (BPP) switch
    • Deactivator switch
    The outputs of the speed control actuator are:
    • Speed control indicator lamp
    • Speed control actuator cable controlling the throttle position
    • Inspection and Verification
      NOTE: If any concerns are noted with the speedometer, stoplamps, or horn, address those concerns by referring to the appropriate sections before continuing speed control diagnosis.
      1. Verify the customer concern by operating the speed control system.
      1. NOTE: Any aftermarket modifications, including but not limited to those listed below, may cause the speed control to not operate correctly:
        • Any wiring or lamp modifications affecting the brake lamp operation
        • LED brake lamps
        • Non-factory installed trailer wiring
        • Radios (speed sensitive, auto mute)
        • Remote starters and alarms
        • Lighting and electrical accessory modifications
        Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical or electrical damage:
        • Visually inspect the speed control actuator and accelerator controls.
        • Visually inspect the speed control cable without removing it and ensure smooth cable operation. Inspect the speed control cable connection to the throttle body.

What Colorado do you have ? 2 wheel or 4 wheel drive ? Sport ,sport LS 3.5L , Z71, Z71 LS. etc. what size engine ? an does it have electronic throttle control ? I have factory service info an it is not showing that code .

My 2011 Sonata cruise control stops working going down steep hills. The set light goes off. I had it set at 50mph but applied brakes when it increased to 70mph. Dealership says they can find nothing...


going down steep hills will all but over ride a cruise control, since the motor is trying to keep the vehicle slowed to what your desired speed that you set , unfortunately this doesn't always work,, as your speed increases, the motor can't keep the speed reduced, when you apply the brakes, the system shuts off, cruise controls were meant to be used pretty much on long flat surfaces with Low inclines ,,

First and formost make sure air filter is clean.Then start bike and warm up engine.with engine warm adjust idle screw(the big screw with spring around it)Turn clockwise to increase and counterclock wise to decrease.with bike idling properly the low speed air adjustment screw (small screw located just above fuel bowl on side of carb)Adjust in small increments 1/16 turns at a time till bike has smooth throttle responce.This screw contols air flow during idle and up to 1/4 throttle.From 1/4 throttle and up the needle setting on plunger inside of carb takes care of 1/4 and up.You usally dont have to mess with needle unless you do upgrades to get more power out of bike.But over time the low speed settings can change due to wear on idle needle and air needle.So thats why you have to make adjustments.If bike still dosent respond or idle correctly I would purchase carb rebuild kit and your problem will be solved.

Air conditioner goes off when fan speed is increased


when it's on 'auto', the fan adjusts according to the temp in the car and the temp setting you have it set at. try setting the auto temp control down to 65, then hit the "-" one more time to send it to "LO" - the fan should automatically jump up to max.
