    if the model actaully begins with 363. then it is behind the drum.

Dryer Timer doesn't move in Easy Care Mode


do you have heat?does it stay hot while in coll down?if so your heating element is grounded,open the door,look up and remove the two screws holding the top panel in place,pick top panel up just a little and move it to the left that should remove the top panel, put it on cool down or no heat and run it,if the heat stays on this is your problem the element is sagging and touching the metal cover around the element,the way the timer works is on timed dry it counts down like a clock until it turns off when on more or less or auto same thing the dryer starts,the heat comes on and when it hits temp. the heat shuts off when the heat is off the timer will advance to off when the heat starts again the timer stops,if the element isn't grounded then you still could have a bad element there are two elements in your dryer if one is broke the timer won't advance or some have only one element so if the timer doesn't advance you probably have no heat or a bad cycling thermostat or a bad sensor up front where the lint filter is.you'll have to check them with a meter.first thing to check is the heater located behind the drum.

How to Replace Heating Element from a Maytag Dryer?


The procedure is as follows:--- 1) First of all unplug the dryer from electric outlet for safety reasons.
2) Locate the vent hose on the rear of the dryer and disconnect this hose from dryer unit.
3) The hose is mostly fixed in a metal clamp and the metal clamp is fixed by the screw. Loosen the screw and remove the clamp and remove the hose.
4) The heating element is located in the cabinet.
5) In some models the cabinet is located at the rear of the dryer. And in some model its located in the front of the dryer.
6) Locate the heating element cabinet and remove the screws holding the cabinet.
7) You will see the heating element now. There are wires connecting on the sides of the heating element terminals. The wires are connected by removable connector.
8) Remove the connector carefully from heating element with the help of needle nose plier.
9) After the wires are removed from heating element’s terminals. Remove the screws holding the heating element.
10) The heating will have to be moved a bit to come out easily. Before removing the heating element out. Please note down the position of old heating element. So while placing the new heating element you don’t face any problem.
11) Remove the old heating element and insert the new heating element.
12) Connect all the wires as it were connected before.
13) Refit all the parts which you removed while removing the old heating element in reverse method. Take care you don’t miss any part fitting.

12 VOLT FUSE FOR REFRIGERATOR AT MAIN PANEL CONTINUOUSLY BLOWS WHEN THE UNIT IS IN THE 110 VOLT NODE


If it works fine on propane, it is more then likely your electric heating element that has gone bad. It is quite easy to change. Looking at the fridge from the rear vent, the heating is located inside the duct work on the right hand side. There are 2 wires that go into the duct work, they are attached to your heating element. After locating the element you must remove the access door on the duct work, then disconnect the heating element wires from the electronic board. In most cases you can get the heating out out by twisting it back and forth from side to side then once loosened you can pull it out. it is about 6 inches long.

No heat in dryer mode


In electric dryers, heat is generated by the heating element. The element is a coil of heating wire enclosed in a metal chamber. Electric current flowing through the coil creates heat and the air being pulled through the chamber absorbs this heat. If the element is defective then it will not heat. It can be tested with a multi-meter for continuity. Unplug the dryer and remove the front or rear panel to locate the element so it can be tested.
The high limit thermostat is a safety device mounted on the heating chamber and is designed to prevent the dryer from overheating when the exhaust vent is restricted. A restricted vent will cause the high limit thermostat to trip or activate, interrupting the circuit to the heating element or gas valve. The high limit thermostat is not designed to activate repeatedly like a cycling thermostat and will eventually fail causing a no heat symptom. Disconnect the power to the dryer and check the thermostat for continuity with a multi-meter. If there is no continuity then it will need to be replaced and the restricted vent system corrected as well.
Cycling thermostats control the temperature inside the dryer drum. They are designed to "cycle" the heating element on and off to maintain the correct amount of heat. Cycling thermostats are normally located on the blower housing or elsewhere in the internal airflow ducting. Over time, the cycling thermostat can become defective. Disconnect the power to the dryer and check the thermostat for continuity with a multi-meter.

Freezer drain may be blocked. Freezer not working effeciently the freezer always icing up


. If the freezer is always icing up , you probably have the problem in your defroster circuit . The refrigerator cycles once every six to eight hours into the defrost mode . This is controlled by the defrost timer. when in this mode , a heating element located close to the evaporator heats up and melts the ice. This heating element will heat up any ice enough to melt It and drain out of the unit. I would check this first .

To get proper heat, keep your temp setting at +5 degree than your temp and also mode in "heat "position. If still noheat, check your heating sensor for closed circuit by an OHMs metre.It it'swith RV, check power to RV.Ifit's with heating element check power to element. If power is there but stillno heat means element defective. Replace new heating element. Thanks.

Will not run only on gas but will not cool


If it works on gas and NOT electricity then the heating element is not getting power or the heating element is open. The heating element is located on the tubing just aft of where the pilot flame is on the bottom of the copper tube. You should check for power to the heating element and with power off perfom a continuity check on the element. I really do not at this time think you have a heating element problem.

There is a 120VAV element a AND a 12VDC element. The chances of both of these failing at the same time is pretty slim.

There is a note in the manual:
If the gas only pushbutton is depressed the
lamp will illuminate green and the refrigerator
will only operate on the LP gas mode, even if q
120 or 12 volts are available.

Another significant change in the third
generation A.E.S. system is how the 12 volt
heating element mode operates. As with the
first and second generation series, the 12 volt
heating element circuit is energized by the
ignition lock terminal. This terminal receives
its DC voltage from a wire that runs from the
run side of the vehicle’s ignition switch to the
refrigerator’s ignition lock terminal. This
allows the 12 volt heating element to be
energized only when the RV is traveling down
the road.
When the ignition lock terminal is energized
by the ignition key, the printed circuit board
must see at least 13.3 volts DC for a period of
40 seconds before the system will activate the
12 volt DC heating element.
If 13.3 volts is not achieved in this time frame,
the electronics will light the LP gas burner and
the refrigerator will operate on the LP gas
mode.
LOWER THAN 13.3 V.D.C. =LP Operation

If the battery voltage remains low after the
delay cycle, the automatic controls will light
the refrigerator on the LP gas mode and stay
on the gas mode until the printed circuit board
sees approximately 13.3 volts DC to the
terminal block.

For proper cooling on the AC mode, the AC
voltage to the refrigerator should not vary
more than 10 percent from the voltage rating
on the heating element. Heating elements used
in Dometic refrigerators could have a rated
voltage of 110 volts, 115 volts or 120 volts AC.
Because of this, the power requirements for
each differently rated heating element will
vary. For example, if a heating element is
rated for 100 volts, the acceptable power range
would be between 99 to 121 volts AC. If an
element is rated for 115 volts, the acceptable
power range would be between 103.5 to 126.5
volts AC. If the heater is rated for 120 volts,
the acceptable AC power range would be
between 108 to 132 volts AC.

The unit to operate on either AC or DC must have 13.3 volts to the unit. I think this is where your problem lies in that the battery voltage is less than 13.3 VDC

Dryer working but no heat


if its a gas dryer check the spark ignitor

it should click as you first start in within 20 seconds upon starting it with the heat mode switched on

I would suggest that the oven element is faulty
This is located at the rear of the innner oven compartment behind a removeable cover.

Rowenta DX-8800 will not heat. Location of heating element?


The heating element is incorporated in the base. Rarely is the heating element bad. Its usually a connection or control problem. You cannot just replace the heating element.
