My Pheonix Gold Octane 8.O.1 turns on but no sound comes from it

The red light comes on on the side of the amp where there is two l.e.d.s. One for THL which is green and one for OVR which is red and the one that lights up. Power and Ground are solid as well as the rca jacks.I have a zero gauge power and ground so its getting enough power.I tried with different working speakers and still nothing.Even ran different ground and checked fuses. Still no sound.I took off the protected cover and see no visible blown circuits or problems with the circuit board! Somebody please help!!!

The amp is done and it is going to need servicing. Most likely the magnetron has burnt out

You need power to the amp. If the light on the amp is not on then your amp is the problem. Get power to it.

I have a Phoenix Gold Octane Amp and 10d subwoofers. My friend took it out last week, and I want to put it back it, but I can't figure out where the power and ground wires go and where the speaker wire...

Ok, when you look at the amp, the power + and ground - will be on one side of the amp with another smaller opening in between them. That opening is for your remote wire from your radio. Without that, your amp will not receive the input voltage to signal it to turn on. The speakers will go into the remaining open holes. Your RCA wires will be on the opposite end of the amp.

Moisture in amp while on, caused a small pop, then no sound outpu

check the fuse between the battery and the amp. (not the fuse in the back of the amp).
if that doesn't work then something on the inside of the amp is fried.

there is something touching or shorting out..could be speaker wire inputs on the inside..if you have it crossed over you could have it backwords or you could have a short in your RCA's..

Amp problem, need help!!!

Sounds like one of two problems: either your subs are beginning or have gone bad, or you amp is going bad. What size power and ground wire are you using? You should be using at least a 4 gauge for both. Also what impedence are you running with the amp, ie; 4ohm mono, 2ohms stereo, etc?

Please help

That depends on what impedence the subs are. If they are 4 ohms each then just parallel them to the amp + to + and - to - on both of them that will give you a 2 ohm mono load which is fine for that amp.

Amp connection

Parallel would be the best way to wire them. 2 4 ohms subs to one channel wired parallel would be a 2 ohm load for that channel and if u wire them series then 2 4ohm subs to one channel would be an 8 ohm load for that channel.

Wiring diagram

The LEd wires need a wire run from the speaker to the Fuse block in your car. The small Red wire from the LED will be the one that hooks to Swtiched 12 Volts supply on the fuse block so that your Led Turns on when you turn the keyswitch on. The Black wire goes to ground, or to a metal part of your cars body, probably the same point where your Amp is Grounded.

The Octane R10 is a Single Voice Coil or SVC.
AMP+ to Sub+
Amp- to Sub -
Use 12 guage wire.
