Under the counter inside the cabinet, you will see a set screw or nut that needs to be tighten up from the under side.

I want to change two belts (A/C and Alternator) on my 1999 Mitsubishi Mirage 1.5 car. What steps I am suppose to do.

First, feel the tightness of your belts. You will have to tighten the new belts to the proper tightness. If they are too tight, they will wear the bearings prematurely. If they are too loose, they will slip.

Alternator Belt Removal

  1. Loosen the alternator lock nut.
  2. Loosen the adjuster bolt.
  3. Rotate the adjuster bolt counter clockwise to release the tension on the belt.
  4. Remove the belt.
Similarly for the compressor belt

  1. Loosen the lock nut.
  2. Loosen the adjuster bolt.
  3. Rotate the adjuster bolt counter clockwise to release the tension on the belt.
  4. Remove the belt.
5. Install the new compressor belt

6. Rotate the adjuster bolt clockwise until the belt is tight like it was before you removed it.

7. Tighten the lock bolt.

8. Install the new alternator belt

9. Rotate the adjuster bolt clockwise until the belt is tight like it was before you removed it.

10. Tighten the lock bolt.

Does the bolt on the blade come off counterclockwise or clockwise.

If you are facing the blade from where the bolt is, and the blade's normal operation is to turn counter-clockwise, then the bolt will loosen counter-clockwise. This is universally true for any blade which is held on by a center bolt (table saws, grinders, etc.) This is because the motor is turning the shaft counter-clockwise, and the resistance against the blade as it does it's work is clockwise - thus tightening the blade rather than loosening it. If the blade normally turns clockwise, then the bolt will loosen clockwise.

Tighten chain?

Depending on the model, you adjust the chain tension using the screw that is located either between or below the two nuts that hold the sprocket/bar/chain cover. Loosen the nuts and turn the screw clockwise to tighten, counter-clockwise to loosen. Once you have the tension set, lift up on the bar from underneath and tighten the two nuts. Proper tension should show about half of the chain drive, and should only be done when cold. After 4 to 5 minutes of run time, stop the saw and check the tension again. A little heat in the bar/chain will cause it to loosen up. It will need re-adjusting.

How do you put a chain back onto a chainsaw

on one side of the saw are two nuts and a chain tightener screw. loosen the nuts but don't take them off. turn the tightening screw counter clockwise. the bar should slide backwards. the chain goes over the clutch disk and the tangs go into the bar groove. just keep pressing the tangs into the bar all the way to the tip and around the tip sprocket. now turn the adjustment screw clockwise which will tighten the chain. don't tighten it too much! leave a little "play" - tighten down the nuts. plug in the saw and start it. if the saw has a chain oiler press the oiler a few times. as you use the saw the chain will expand and loosen. loosen the nuts and tighten it again just a little.

The pull out faucet is loose, wobbly, won't stay attached.

Make sure that there is a weighted ball connected about halfway down the retracting hose. If not you need to go to a supply house and purchase one and its a simple install. However if there is one attached you can loosen the 2 screws and slide it up closer to faucett but not so far that you can't pull out the sprayer as far as you need. Also make sure nothing is obstructing it under the sink. bottles, cleaners, etc.
