Question about Acer Aspire 3680 Laptop

1 Answer

I'm having a problem with Windows Movie Maker. It's an intermittent problem, but causing the amount of time editing to be greatly increased. When a portion of the video is cut out, the screen will sometimes go black. Clicking the play button does nothing. It doesn't do it all the time, and the solution thus far has been to write down the time index of where the problem occurred, and go back and do it again. Is there anything that can be done to solve this problem? OS is Windows Vista on an Acer Aspire laptop computer.

Your laptop may have frozen up due to the lack of power of the pc towards the power that vista and movie maker **** up. Try shutting off all background programs you are not using. You could also try defragging the computer (I recommend Defraggler by Piriform). This will most likely pull the video out of a bad spot on the hard drive.
