I have a blue and white padlock keeps showing up in the middle of my screen. Blinks on and off for a while then disappears, then comes back. On and on, very irritating.

It sounds like the DELL Capslock indicator. It is a light blue square with a lock on it and a capitol A under the hasp. You may have a bad keyboard key. switch out keyboards and see what happens.
Good luck,
James.

I have a Panasonic HDTV that was made in July 2002 Model#-PT-61HX42F. The screen just went off and the power button keeps blinking 3 times then goes off and repeats but the picture will not come back on

3 blinks is short protection and usually means one of the 2.2 ohm blue resistors in front of the convergence IC chips is bad---the chips are black and 2 1/2 by 1 1/2 tall and should have STK392-110 on the front of them; locate them and look at all the (about 10) powder blue resistors in front of them----if you find one or more discolored or white in the middle the chips and the resistor needs to be replaced.

It can be a do it your self repair (I have start to finish instructions if you need them).

When I turn on my laptop the loading process gets as far as the initial blue screen and stops there. The screen will have the loading white symbol in the middle but then that will disappear and instead of...

Try dumping the RAM. To do this press the power button and then hold "Command, Option, P, R" before the gray screen appears. Then the computer will 'bing' and restart. Wait until it has 'binged' twice then let go.

A line has appeared across the bottom of the screen and also along the middle. the bottom line is white/red.blue and the middle line is mainly green

If your TV is still under guarantee then change it asap, if not you have a problem, the panel has failed, in very rare cases the lines will disappear when the set is at its maximum operating temperature, that said it will never be 100% again, sorry

Padlock appears on screen

I have this monitor, got it used at the goodwill, padlock problem and the control buttons (eccept for power) did not work. I tried every solution posted with no success. Then I got brave, I dove into the problem. 1) remove base, four phillips head screws. 2) remove the back, five phillips head screws. one in each corner and one behind the base mount, thus the need to remove the base. 3) carefully pry off the back, it snaps on, so take your time. I found a butter knife to be very helpfull. 4) The buttons are sodered to an electrical board whitch is snapped into place so carefully pry up from one side, again I used a butter knife. The wires are sodered to the board, they do not unplug. 5) Using a can of air, blow into each button and trying to clean out the inside them. I'm sure they should probably be replaced but we do what we can. 6) Put it all back together. 7) plug it in and connect it to computer. start working the buttons, at first I thought it was a lost cause but after about a minute I was able to get into the menue, scroll down using the arrow buttons and turn the lock off. A $300 monitor for 40 bucks. I hope this message gets to you before you give up. GOOD LUCK, GMAN8773
