Washer drains then the "no

Your machine has control switch problem,it will need servicing. And will need replacement. The switch is the problem(function selector). It has connectors an wires(color coded)for a required function and if the function is different from what was indicated in the switch then the problem is the internal part of the switch which sets the wrong function and as for self protection from further damage the unit set its self off.

The washer didn't spin or drain out. So, I turned

The washer has a separate pump to drain. You manually drain out that means the pump is good. The agitation and spin rotations are from one motor and this motor has 2 directions with 2 mechanisms to assist the actions when the motor connections is controlled by the set table. When the parts contributed to the mechanism fails you can have only one function or neither of them. To examine the mechanical failure, need to access to the inside to inspect the clutch, the brake, the helix... This needs a service man or if you can do it if you are handy. To confirm the problem, here are things to check without taking the washer apart.
1- If you have agitation, but no spinning, then your motor is good, just the spinning mechanism is failing. Need to replace a small part of the mechanism after inspection. In this case, you can't even run a manual spinning. 2- If you don't have agitation then you may have the motor problem. 3- If you hear motor sound but no turning, then need to inspect the belt or direct drive mechanism. The spinning mechanism part is not expensive but the labor is not since there is a lot of work to get to this point. Just to give you the idea to avoid the recognize a rip-off. There is a plastic pulley when engaged with a reversed rotation will push the brake open so a spinning action can function. When this plastic is worn out, it can't engage therefore no spinning.

The tub never starts to spin when it hits spin cycle.

If your washer functions when the door is shut it cannot be a door problem. The likely thing here is you may have a drain problem....your drain oulet filter (or out pump) could be blocked. This requires cleaning; when the washer goes thru all the functions except spin it is most likely your drain is clogged. Aft u have cleaned the filter & pump check by a small spin. Before you attempt, wall socket off & keep bucket handy to collect water.
