Question about Levelone Wireless N_Max BoardbandRouter

Internet is slow when using the router.

Hello!
my problem is as follows: for the last 2 months my internet has been dead slow. this started abruptly and has continued since.I should mention I have a 2.5Mb connection and when I checked with my ISP and the compeny that supplies the line both checks returned good figures as far as connection speed and data loss. the problem seems to be only with every other site in the world.
also,
A. restarting and reentering all of the router specifications has not improved the speed.
B. none of the users use any kind of turrent or other downloading software.
C. we are only 3 comps connected and the problem remains when only one comp is plugged in.
D.I tried connecting via dial-up directly with the modem, removing the router from the equation and it SOLVED everything. only this way only one computer can use the web at a time. from this I can only deduce that the router is the problem.
E. my router is a levelone WBR-6001 N_max and has not suffered any kind of visible damage, fall, water damage or anything else.

assistance will be greatly appriciated!

Check your hard drive capacity and check if you need to do a defragmentation.
You didn't specify if you are connecting via wireless or hard connection i.e. Ethernet cord.
If you have DSL you may want the ISP to do a line check at the drop to your house. This may cause slow connectivity if the line has been chewed by a squirrel or water leakage into the insulation. It is very rare but if this check out then it is the router itself or the cable.
This also sounds like the router is not allocating the proper switching for each computer and the bandwidth is given to the highest priority task computer.

My wifi is extremely slow on this exact Acer laptop model. I am using Windows 8 64-bit. Updated everything. Wifi is still unusually slow. Please help. (Acer Aspire Q5WPH/T6)

So, If you have internet connection speed problem with your wireless try with the following steps,
1.)Reset the wireless router by using the power switch on it or by unplugging it and plugging it back in.
2.)Place the wireless router in an ideal location. The higher it is, the better, but don't put it near metal objects.
3.)Get as close as possible to the router with whatever device you're trying to connect.
4.)Keep the router and your connecting device away from other electronics. You should especially keep away from phones, fax machines and microwaves. etc.,
5.)Adjust the Wifi antenna if it has one.
6.)Change the router's channel, especially if other wireless routers are nearby.Following these steps would give you stable internet connection and also increased speed in connection. You can check your internet speed from ScanmySpeed.Com before and after following these steps.

Last january my d-link WBR-2310 still working fine but now i wanna use it, it wont connect in the net?

Try power cycling the router.
Disconnect the router from all computers. Power off the router. Power on the router. Reconnect the router to all computers. Check the Internet connectivity.

My modem is tooo slow even i cannot see any videos, it is taking so much time also it`s downloading speed is also very slow. Often my modem get disconnected automatically --- please help me out.

Hello,
Is this the problem with the modem or the router..? If its with the modem then contact your internet service provider(as the line might have some issues) and if its your router then please follow the following steps..
1) Disconnect the power from router for a minute and reconnect and check. 2) Try changing the wireless channel and Network name and try re-connecting. 3) Check if there is an firmware update for your product and update if any update is available. 4) If none of the above steps work you will need to reset and re-config your router. ( For that you need the CD given with the router and you will need the ISP settings.)
Hope this helped

Can only connect to the internet wirelessly for about 2-3 mins before signal drops off and can't get it back. Router is new last month and started noticing usage issues last week. On the face of the...

I'd start off with a hard reset by holding down the reset button down in the back of the router for 15 seconds, I usually cut the power, hold the button down for 15 seconds, power it back on, wait another 15 seconds, THEN I release the button.
That will set everything back to default. Once you've got the router up and running again I would check D-Links support page to make sure you've got the latest firmware version.
That should address your issue, if not, contact D-Link support for an RMA ;)

Just abruptly, I cannot access internet using Ethernet cable

wow, my guess this is a 1 PC home, ?
no router stated, or if its yours or ISP (junk) I run my own gear.
try my steps for best fast correction of the problem.
is the router with WIFI, what is name of router and model number.
and get 10 times better answers.
  1. try another cable yet,or other router RJ45 Ethernet port?
  2. try 2nd PC here< or a friends,? work now? no then router issues....routers are complex, and no router stated so....
  3. if router is wifi try a pc yours or others or cell in wifi to connect does that work,???? you need to set up the router to use wifi.
  4. Ok there are 2 diagnostic paths here. 1 is router and your one and only PC and no friends have a PC, right? lets to that next.

Friends pc dead. on cable. (new cable not yours)
that means the router is broked.
even the lease time wrong can cause that.
did you reset the router to see if the connection comes up
that be first first.
if the router is still dead. you need access rights to check it.
so this help now ends.... lacking whats there or how owns it.

way 2 , 1 PC dead now, on 2 either net cables and all router ports dead. but other PC work on your router, simple no?

if just your pc is dead, it can only be 2 things
a: bad hardware (blown NIC chip) network interface chip.
b: bad software, or INSTALLED WRONG !!!
C; NIC parameters wrong called the STACK.

lets work B: (a; is hopeless, needs NIC new)
B:
first off what PC is it and what does HP support.
the deal with HP mobo, is that the underlaying chips must
also be right for the NIC chip to work
many HP have up to 5 nic chips used there new.
(options) that right, up to 5, and the HP page covers that
if you had read it

first ill carbon date this beast 2007 it is , on the cusp of zero HP support,(10yr rule) get the software while you still can.
DV2500T
HP says
HP Pavilion dv2500t CTO Notebook PC

HP told me only Vista support.ed!!
well ,why leave VISTA. ? vista runs NIC ok for sure,!@

now you must find all errors it the system for drivers.
that can mess up the NIC.
since now on W7 you are committed it seems.. ouch
and you used a real windows disk to do that, not HP disk.
so there will be missing drivers doing that. or wrong.

the NIC here is
Marvell Yukon 88E8039 PCI-E Fast Ethernet Controller Driver

here are the only drivers that can work
off marvell site
if you use CP control panel
DM
and RC right click the NIC, you will see what chip is there
but be warned, other chips may need w7 drivers (correct)
to allow the NIC to run right, that is why never upgraded
with out HP , support,
but i have vast times but GO THE DISTANCE on all drivers
called HARD long work.
as seem below.:
i4axvjriaaaaaelftksuqmcc
http://www.marvell.com/support/downloads/driverSearchResults.do#

if the network stack is all good
and your pc runs on your neighbors router with same cable
then the parameters in the router are wrong.

at he elevated command prompt type, (winkey+x) (admin)
IPconfig , enter

see that IPV4 , that is your router assigned IP, using its DHCP server. mine is set up with 10's on purpose.
the gate way must be correct and not blank

Connection Interrupted

Well, the issue you are experiencing could be caused by slow internet. Even if you have a connection - it may be a slow one that can't keep up with the server. Another reason that this could be happening is the server itself is lagging, but if it happens to you consistantly I would put bets on it being your internet.

PCMCIA Verizon BroadBand Internet PC Card

You COULD do it, but man.

you are gonna be charged for each MB used, and honestly, it would be a terribly impractical approach.

Just to humor you, you'd do it as such.

Set up your laptop to run all the time. Have the Verizon card plugged in, and always active, and set to never drop connection. You'll now need a crossover cable, and you'll run the rj45 crossover from the ethernet on your laptop to the WAN port on your router. You'll then need to bridge the connections. Some versions of Windows support internet connection sharing; effectively doing the same thing. Now, you should have active internet.

Now, you're going to be charged per MB, you're gonna have a SLOW SLOW SLOW SLOW connection, and you should expect $1000 phone bills monthly.
