Very delicate - those pins can easily break off . Best to send it in for professional repair.

Bent pin memory card slot

The repair shop, probably will charge more then a new camera, even newer than yours will cost. In my young years I had to learn to adjust relay contacts, and that was not easy, if you want them to survive all. I won't say it is impossible, but it would be a nasty job.
If it is only one pin you have bent, you could try to use one or two little knives or other small and flat tools, and coming from a different side, you could try to come on the pin. If they are not bent that much, you could try to use an old and defect CF card,
Use a little saw, to saw from top to bottom so you are left with a pice with just a few rows of contact holes. you could try to place the piece of the old memory card on a few pins endif they fit, careful press the part of the card down. Or if the pins are bent a lot. shift the part over the pins and try to bent them straight.
I don't know how far the pins are bent, but just try something, without opening the camera.

My canon camara keeps saying memory error

Just to be sure, you did try other cards right?
If so, Bent pins are quite common unfortunately. Can't wait until they come up with something easier for this. Fixing it yourself is possible, yet you absolutely need the right tools and to know what you are doing. There is quite a bit to dismantle before you get to that area. Camera repair can be done and this company is very good at it. They even have a blog on bent pins and it shows a picture of what this looks like. Bent pin in card slot , i have bent one of the pins that fit the compact flash card is there any one out there with spares to repair, ta steve

This is not a consumer repairable problem. Take it to a professional. If it's just a bent pin (not broken), the repair shouldn't be too expensive.

Nikon D70 memory card won't insert all the way

It certainly could be. Without a card in the way, take a look into the card chamber to see if you have a bent pin. They should all be straight up, and a bent one will be obvious. If it's just slightly bent, it can often be straightened with a small jeweller's screwdriver. They are delicate, so bending them repeatedly will break them off.

Not working

Try a different memory card. Some of these cameras may not support large sizes. Try a smaller card such as a 512 or a 128.

Canon EOS10 Downloaded photos and put CF card back in Now has Err 02 Tried other card same thing. Cards work on computer fro download. Weather is cold so could it be moisture. I will try again later

Had the same issue. Found out that one of the small pins inside the chamber was bent. I noticed that one of the small holes on the CF looked slightly larger. I very carefully bent the pin back up and it works fine now.

Canon PowerShot A85-suspect one of the flash card reader pin recepticle in the camera has a bent pin. Can it be repaired?

It's not as hard to fix as as you might think. Remove batteries and card. Look in the card slot with some light to see if any of the pins are bent. Use a small/skinny jeweler's flat screwdriver to bend the pin back as close as possible (you can get a cheap set at the dollar store). Take your time and use as much patience as you can muster (take a breather in between if needed).

It doesn't have to be perfect, just as close as you can get it. When it's there, take your flash card and "SLOWLY" insert it. The card itself should fine-align the pin. Remove the card, and verify that the pin is still straightened. If so, reinsert the card and try it out.

Digital rebel EOS ds6041

This happens when image data cannot be written/extracted on CF card. Try a card that you know is ok ( works on other cameras ). If problem persists one or more pins in the CF card chamber may be bent or even broken off. Try to straighten but be careful not to damage undamaged pins... but may have to go to an expert for repairs.
