Funny thing, just had the same problem on a Canon mx850, one year old. the cause = a serious paper JAM. My solution, i freed all the paper around the two little black spongs under the inks cart. then, i turned the printer on, waited for it move the ink cart to the middle, after i unplugged the printer so that the ink stayed in the middle. this permits you to move it freely, and have the room to work on the purge system. 5c20 is the pruge system not working correctly! i actually had to take apart my printer, opened it in two to find that the little motor that moves the purge system just got unplugged, probably by the paper JAM!. simply replugged the little motor. before trying this, behind the two black hard sponges, under the white squeege that moves back and forth; is a little black wheel, with uneven teeth spaced on it. this only turns clock wise direction. must likely it's stuck, needs to do a complete turn to be realigned. clock wise only (try to move it if your not sure what side is clockwise, don't insist, it's not that hard to turn the right way!!) now, when you turn this wheel, the squeege moves back and forth and the sponges go up and down, alernating with the sponges. it should become easy again, and the problem should be alright!
it's to be noted that, i won'T open the printer like i did, if is just out of the box!! or still under warantee.
i live in the middle of no where, and i had nothing to lose in trying to fix it myself.
hope this helps, write for more questions

This is a pump roller error. Needs a new board.
I have attached link to the Simplified service manual for your printer.
Part numbers included and ALL Epson Service codes for that model.

Mx850 canon all in one. was working fine then the alarm light came on and screen shows error code 6A00??? have tired moving the ink cartrigde device, unplugged and pluged back in ... checked everywhere...

6A00] or Light blinking 12 times = AP position error. It's mean there is an error occurred in the AP motor during purging operation. You may need to replace Sheet feed unit, logic board or purge unit. Thank you

Printer error 5c20 on start up , new out of box

Error 5C20 means the logic board is not able to initialize the printer - most likely because it can't move the rollers and carriage as part of the initialization sequence. This is a serious problem and it is unlikely you can fix it yourself. You should return it for a refund as too many of these printers are having the same problem.

Canon MX7600 error 5100, 5C20

Yes, 5100 means the carriage is not moving back and forth properly or there is grease on the encoder strip behind the carriage assembly. Grease spots make it lose count and slam into the side and grind gears. You need to clean the strip with a Q-tip moist with alcohol, but very carefully, not too much pressure on the strip.

Error Code B200

Try keeping the paper only in the bottom tray (there's a tray in the bottom) Try pulling any paper out of the top and just close that top tray. Open up the head so that u can see the ink cartridges and turn the printer on and off and maybe it will center itself again. If it's still not working (even if lights aren't red and print head wont align in the center) try manually moving the head back and forth like 18 times so you can lubricate that rail in the back that's holding it. After that, re-turn it off and on again.
