Question about D-Link RangeBooster G WBR-2310 Wireless Router (WBR2310)

Issues with a D Link WBR 1310 Router

I moved yesterday and had the cable installed. Cable works, LAN works, but D Link has "Local Only" access. Tried all the troubleshooting that I know of via Windows and Microsoft and I can't get the D Link to work properly. I am having to link up to neighbor's wireless. Have tried restarting and shutting down the computer and unplugging D Link and the cable modem. Can anyone help? I am a full time online college student and need reliable internet now!!!

Please respond in non techy terms as I am a dork and can barely run this laptop when it works properly! :)

Thanks!!

Rhonda

Make sure that your computer is able to go online directly
through the modem.
If your computer is able to go online through the modem,
that means the modem is working fine.
You will need to connect the computer to the router and the
modem to the router.
open the set up page of the router and change the settings
of the router according to the ISP.

network

I have a D-Link WBR-1310 router. It worked fine on Thursday evening. Now my laptop and my TIVO cannot even detect the router. I have tried resetting it and even unplugging the router and plugging it...

I suggest you RESET the D-Link back to the default setting and configure the wireless settings again.
To reset the D-Link back to the default settings -
Press and hold the RESET button at the back of the router with the power ONuntil the LEDs flash at the time the release the RESET button.
Connect a LAN cable from the D-Link to your laptop/computer's LAN port, openthe browser on your laptop/computer and enter the D-Link's configuration URL..
http://192.168.0.1
The default login = admin
The default PW = blank (just press Enter) You can now change the default password.
You can now configure the wireless settings. Now configure the wireless card in your computer/laptop withthe router's wireless settings.

Installation problem: D-link wireless router WBR-1310

  1. Push the RESET button on the back.
  2. Plug in the computer only into one of the 4 blue ports (and the router power plug of course).
  3. Give it a minute or two.
  4. Open a browser on your PC, type 192.168.0.1 in the address bar. No www or anything should be there.
  5. You should be able to access the router menu from this address. If this doesn't work, the default address might be listed on the bottom, along with the username and password
  6. If the above steps are successful you should be able to access the internet when you plug in your cable/DSL modem into the WAN port.
From another PC the manual can be downloaded from here:
ftp://ftp.dlink.com/Gateway/wbr1310/Manual/wbr1310_manual_110.zip
Hope this helps.

i think what you need to do is to login to the router by typing in its ip address like 192.168.0.1 all you have to do is hook up your computer via ethernet cable to the router then start configuring the router. you don't have to install any drivers for routers

Cannot access the WBR-1310 webpage

if you are wireless, after a reset you need to connect with the router using an RJ45 lan connector lead. Reboot your notebook, while connect to router and then type in the default address for the set up page normally 192.168.0.1
