Your hard drive is either not seated properly or has failed. Remove and plug it back in. Reboot and press the del or F1 key as it first boots. Check the BIOS to see if the hard drive is recognized. If none of these things work, go shopping for a new HD....
Thank you, James.

I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 and when I turn it on it tells me NO BOOTABLE DEVICE DETECTED This happen one other time and I rebooted my computer and it came back on but it did not work this time what can I...

NO BOOTABLE DEVICE When the PC cannot see a boot file/disk on either the hard disk or floppy drive it gives an error message "No bootable device. Insert boot disk and press any key"
There may be a hard disk problem.
Check the BIOS to see if the hard disk is detected, if not open the case and re-seat the hard drive and also where it connects to the motherboard.
If it still gives this error message and the BIOS does not detect this hard drive, then the hard drive is probably faulty.

To get the computer operating again, install a new hard drive in your computer and then install Windows on this hard drive plus the computer's device drivers and your programs.

Laptop won't boot

umm...restored from a backup? that usually does NOT include the o/s and the recovery partition was on original drive? seems you need a fresh format(high level) on that drive, o/s re install from a clean licensed copy, then do the restore.

Dell Inspiron 1525, - Wont Boot Up?

Did the PC come with a preloaded Operating system? If so it should include recovery disks try running them, or if it didnt you will need to buy one either online or at retail store.
Hope this helped! Good Luck!

How can you use the recovery disk in drive D ?

It is referring to using the recovery disk in the cd/dvd drive. When you purchased the computer it should have come with a set of recovery disks (some manufatureres do this by installing a recovery partition). If you did not get a set of recovery disks with this machine, you need to use the recovery partition.

When I start dell 1525 it say bad windows image.

Sounds like a corrupt windows install. Boot to the Diagnostics (Fn+Power button) and see if it indicates a hardware failure.
If diags pass, and running Vista, then Boot to Vista DVD and try repair my computer options. If XP, boot to XP CD, R for recovery console and run CHKDSK /R
Most likely you will need to either re-image the drive from the F8 menu for Vista or CTRL+F11 for XP, or if the hard drive is failing replace the hard drive.

Problem in the HP Palvalion laptop dv6607nr model

Try using a Windows installation disk instead of your recovery disk. If the Windows disk will boot and begin the installation process then you most likely have a faulty recovery disk. If it gives you an error there may be a malconfiguration in the bios.

Good Luck

Dell inspiron 1525 laptop

Get a bootable Install CD for whatever version of Windows and re-install windows from the CD drive. (Windows XP Home I imagine). If the laptop won;t boot from a CD you can alter the BIOS settings to allow it. If you don;t care about your documents, do a DESTRUCTIVE install which will wipe your Hard Disk.  Beware if you do a non-destructive install  that if your problems originated from a virus it could still be on your Hard Disk. If you need help with getting the BIOS  settings changed lemme know.
