SOURCE: tinted image

If you are plugging in a monitor cable, it is most likely a cable issue. I would try another cable and make sure the cable is seated firmly into the projector. If that doesn't help, check the port on the projector for bent or missing pins because it seems that not all of the video information is reaching the unit.

SOURCE: picture is fine, but the sound won't work

Are the yellow, red & white cables RCA phono plugs?

Yellow = Video
Red = Right Audio
White = Left Audio (mono)

The red, blue & green cables are for picture only and don't include sound. Have you tried using the red, blue & green for the picture and using the other cable, red & white for just the sound? Don't use the yellow.

Good luck!

SOURCE: Blue Shades

There may be a failure starting on the video or matrix driver boards. This has to be verified at the service center. The fix will be done by swapping in a new board to replace the failing one(s), and re-doing the factory setups to make sure that the default colour temperature and levels are correct.

I suggest that if the set is out of warranty ask for an estimate first.

SOURCE: Picture image is shifted in color different directions

2 things this could be: The LCD panel is blown because of incorrect shutting down - not letting the fan cool the unit - there is no fix for this!
or
the unit has sucked in oil from a smoke machine or is in a smokey enviroment - this can be fixed by VERY carefully opening the unit and cleaning the lenes and lcd panels withs meths and a cotton bud

Directv can't connect my tv to he, what can I do, they say I need a green plug in in the back,with the red, yellow, white

What I believe they are trying to tell you is you need to hook up into a component input . It is a video input only and it has three jacks usually coloured red green and blue. Match up the colours with the receiver and you will get an HD picture. They way you currently have it hooked up is a composite connection with only the yellow being for picture. This cannot get you an HD picture. The red and white is for the sound. I don't know what you mean by he though.

Problem with the Toshiba 50H13 50 in. Rear Projection Television. Green tint

The tubes have aged and the colour balance between the tubes has shifted. You will need to redo it using a black/white test image: first the black (the cutoff point), then the white (the gain) on each tube - always start with the green colour. This is done on the final video amplifier of each tube by adjusting the corresponding semiadjustable resistors.

Have to use composante video cords to connect home theatre now colour is funny, would help if manuals were colour

If you are using "composite" cables, the colors are:, yellow(video), red(right audio), and, white(left audio). Which you would match you yellow to yellow(in and out), and so on.This set of cables will give you picture and sound. "Composite" cables are blue, red, and, green. They provide a higher quality picture but, no sound. If you use composite cables, it sounds like you are with the funny color, you have to make sure that they are "pushed " in all the way or you will get off colors. if you used these cables either watch yourself or have someone watch while you twist and try to insert cable and you will probably find one wasn't in far enough. When using component cables for video you will have to use an additional, either red and white composite cables or digital optical(better) cables for audio.

Color is terrible. don't know what to adjust the settings to to make it better

turn the coulour off completely and you should see a perfect balck and white picture, this is made up by mixing red green and blue,, if it is not balck and white you may have lost a primary colour, if this is the case you will obviously never have a watchable colour picture, loss of a primary colour will need a visit from a techie.

Try turning colour correction OFF. (button in up position). See what affect the iris control has. This control will changed the color of the slide from deep red at nearly closed to washed-out blue and white. at full open. I adjust the controls for each slide. The color temperature of the 8549 lamp varies with the brightness. lower level warmer, higher cooler.

The colour on my TV is a reddish colour. Have tried the colour adjustment. Skin colours in particular.

simple. easy. you have 3 screen adjustments. red green blue. turn color all the way down. you should then get just a black and white picture, but in your case, it will still be reddish. behind the speaker grill is an access panel for screen adjustment. remove speaker grill. remove access panel. you will see a block assembly roughly 6 inches square with 6 knobs on it. 3 are for screen, 3 are for focus. adjust until you have a black and white picture. then go into menu and turn your color back up. enjoy!

Need to clean lenses and do manual focus/alignment of guns on a VS-5055. How do I get access to them and adjust? Thank you.

the lenses are accessable by removing lower back of unit,clean them with a damp paper towel-wipe them off with a dry one.put back back on unit.
screen/focas controls are in front of unit.remove speaker grill remove black cover using phillips screwdriver.you will see 2 sets of controls.one row is focas.one row is screen controls.red,green,blue.turn each focas control slowly to get the clearest picture for each color.screen controls are touchy(if you turn then too high unit will shut off)if the black and white picture was good i would not adjust screen controls.if it was bad turn blue and green screens down all the way.picture is now red turn green up until it turns yellow then turn blue up until it turns white

How to connect to TV

The Yellow/Red/White connectors are Composite+Audio
Yellow carries a composite signal and Red and White Carry left and right audio channels.

Red Green Blue Connectors are Component
Each coloured connector carries one 'component' of the picture

So yes, your extra set of red white yellow cables would be fine to use, just make sure you connect the same colors at each end red-red green-green blue-blue

However..... the red green blue only carry the video, you will still need to carry the Audio, this is usually done either by the red and white (L & R stereo) or your DVD may also have an optical or coaxial output to carry the sound. if there is no equivalent connector on the TV then you may be stuck swapping the red/white cables, usually though there would be 2 sets of red/white connectors one set to go with the yellow, one set to go with RGB.
