Question about BenQ FP737S-D 17" LCD Monitor

1 Answer

Benq 17"Lcd monitor fault

Benq17"lcd monitor
Computer running with valid output. Turn on lcd, no benq logo, bands of moving horizontal and vertical lines appear for about 3
seconds. Screen then goes blank. Lcd light stays blue to indicate video present. Suspect video input controller pcb rather than video panel electronics. Lcd does the same thing each time. What do you think.

Resolder the power transistors on inverter board and also check them.If display is not there at all some of this 4 transistors C5707 should be defective.Check associated fuse and Fet which drives the transistor.

Also check with Benq ,Normally offers three year warranty.

First remove the Computer input. It should show BenQ logo at startup and then "No signal cable connected".If not it's a monitor problem.

Repairing BenQ 17′ LCD Monitor

I came across a common fault problem in BenQ 17′ LCD Monitor. The problem is have power but no display. Once you has opened the LCD cover, check the pico fuse for open circuit (very common), the push pull transistors C5707 for short circuit and the Buck royer circuit p-channel fet FQU11P06 also for short circuit too. For your information, if you can't get the FQU11p06 you can always use FU9024N as a replacement. Resolder all the high voltage transformer pins and replace the components above and I'm sure you will bring back the life of this BenQ 17′ LCD Monitor.
You may go to this fairchild semiconductor website to download the spec of the FQU11P06 P-channel FET.

FP767-v2 - 17" LCD Monitor: when you turn it on benq flashes on the screen...

Check the cable on your monitor through video card if there is loose connection. Check also the video card by replacing it with your extra video card if you have. I think the problem is not the monitor but the video card.

Try to plug into another computer and wait to see.
If it turn up to be same it somewhere defect from the main board of the lcd.
If if not the same turn up to be, you should reinstall the OS because the software is corrupted or your display card problem.
