Help! screen wxga LCD screen malfunctioning after ac.
The problem is that my acer 5610 serieslaptop screen after an
accident(falling) seems to have a problem to visualize things above the
middle.i mean a part of it 's ok (from themiddle and over it) but down
its a mess i see colour but distorted. can this be fixed or no
way?Nothing is burnt and there are no dead pixels so i figured out that
maybe something can be done. Something else:for 10 seconds after the fall the screen was ok and after that time this thing happened thanks for the help just want to know if someone at stores could spend time to fix it or its sure thing i need a new LCD. Or should i try re install drivers?most possibly its a hardware problem but then why for 10 secs it was ok?

It sounds like something came partially loose or was damaged. You can try that theory by taking it apart and looking. Or finding someone who can without charging you a lot. You'd be amazed what TV and video repair people can do. My guess is that it fell on its side, and a new LCD may be needed. But I agree that something may be done with it, as nothing is burnt or dead, as you said.

Hi there. Here is an in depth guide on how to separate the layers from the screen, it's imperative that you take extra special care while you do this repair because if you damage the screen it can be costly!!!!
Mine does this too. It is the inverter. Of course it goes wrong as soon
as your warranty expires. It can result from Best Buy sending you the
incorrect battery and them insisting to put it in even though the
voltage doesn't match...
You need to replace the inverter. This page should help:
