Question about Toshiba Satellite P105-S6104 Notebook

1 Answer

TOSHIBA HDD Hi to all. I have a Toshiba Qosmio G20 Notebook. The notebook has 2 HDD. The first HDD has a hidden partition for the Qosmio Player. This partition is hidden by HDD firmware modification. Bios see's the first HDD with 79GB and the second with 80GB. According to Toshiba in my version of the notebook the last 100MB of the first drive are hidden by a modified version of the firmware. So I want this 100MB back. For the past 2 years I've been looking for ways que recover these 100MB. Can anyone help me find a way to reflash my Fujitsu 80GB HDD Sata model MHT2080BH. Since both drives are exactly the same some third party software to copy the firmware from the second HDD to floppy and then flash it to the second HDD.

I would suggest running linux based GParted live cd. Under linux you can alter the sizes of partitions and configure the partitions and format in NTFS/Fat32/

If you want to try
click on the Download the latest version
From Tuxfamily : http,

Hi,

best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Qosmio f60 fan goes on high speed and freez. It keep freezing. The only way to reboot it is to hold down the power button to turn it off and then turn it back on.

I have the same "computer" qosmio f60. I've replaced the hard drive, installed a new window 7 OS, changed RAM paging, power options, run the things with a fan pointed at the computer fan.
The fan goes to high speed and the HDD LED unblinking. I've brought the laptop to two computer shops whose owners knew less about computers than I did. I tried to go to a Toshiba recommended shop in Toronto except they changed to Apple-service only. I tried phoning Toshiba, they just want to change 4 bucks a minute for technical assistance. I've had this Toshiba-thing going on 3 years with the troubles starting after the first year. No one cares about this problem. If I see a Toshiba factory I'm going to chuck this red brick of cra through the window.
BTW it's not a virus or rootkit. I had to learn how to partition a HDD sector through some crazy BIOS program before installing windows. There's no virus or rootkit that's causing this problem.
It's mostly been freezing on me with games.

Hard drive not seen in windows xp

It is not showing up in XP yet because it has to be partitioned and formatted first. You can see it in disk management and partition it from there, then format it.

Application error when running recovery disk

hi

Did you create any partitions on the HDD?
Obviously the HDD or some partitions on the HDD are corrupt.
In my opinion, you should firstly try to format the whole HDD and delete also whole partitions.
Then insert the recovery CD and try to install the Toshiba image
