Installation software for VGA PC Camera 25-157 won't run/finish
I've tried to install the VGA PC Camera (25-157) on my XP machine at least a dozen times. The disc runs....and then stalls out, never fully installing anything. I've tried pulling the install off of the website and again, nothing. So....I have a useless camera because the driver won't install.
I don't need a "link to download in setup" file--I've done that. It does the same thing--gets half way through, stalls out with something continuing to run...and if you close that out you get a failed install. Very irritated.

Download the microsoft clean up utility and look for any programs relating to webcams - logitech etc. You may have old software in your registry creating a conflict. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301

Its because airport tycoon 2 is not compatible with windows 7, it is only compatible with Windows 2000 and XP. But here try this one if it will help you. It will open a Windows XP inside your win7 .
First you will need to download this software. DOWNLOAD
After downloading the software, Run it and install it to your computer.
On the First Page of installation, just click Next
On the Second Page, Choose the destination folder where the software will be installed.
On the third Page, It will ask you, if you want to check updates during startup. Just Check the checkbox.
On the fourth Page, It will ask you to help improve the software, Uncheck this one because you wont need this.
On the Next page it will as you if you want to add shortcuts. just check all.
On the Next Page, Just click Continue to start the Installation process.
Wait for the Installation to finish.
After the installation is finished. The final Page will ask you to restart your PC, Choose Restart Now.
Now to create a XP on your WINDOW 7, you will need a Bootable Windows XP CD installer.
Insert the CD in your optical drive.
now open the software you installed.
Click on Create New Virtual Machine.
Now on the next page, Choose your installer disc. That will be your optical drive.click Next
On the next page, write your full name, username and password, click next.
On the next page, Write the name you want for the machine and choose the location where your machine will be saved.
On the next page, Write how much disc space you want. Remember that the size of the drive you will write will be deducted to the original size of your PC harddrive. And choose Store the Disk in single file.
Then click Next to start the machine.
This is also like installing a window XP on your PC.
Once the installation is complete, install your airport tycoon 2 there and try playing the game.

Remove the CD, then go to the program files folder and remove the folder that applies to this device. Remove the device from the USB port.
Reboot the PC.
Reinstall the software before you attach the webcam to your PC. Only attach the device when directed by the installation program, or after you have fully installed the software.
It's a pain in the ****, but reboot after you finish installing the software and then attach the device. This will allow the device manager utility to fully recognize the device and apply the appropriate drive files.
Try copying the files on the disc to a folder and run them from there. Open the folder you saved the files in then double click the setup.exe icon and see if it completes the installation. If that does not work then try downloading the files from the radio shack web site.
That looks like a permission problem. Do you have administrative rights on that machine?
If you are trying to install, right-click the installation icon for the program, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
If the program installs but does not run, right-click the program icon, click Properties, click the Compatibility tab, select the Run this program as an administrator check box, and then try to run the program.
The IBM 33L4889 PC Camera Windows 2000/XP Driver installation exe will show the following message:

After installing the IBM 33L4489 PC camera driver, you will have two exe, namely IBM PC Camera.exe and Vidcap32.exe. You can use IBM PC Camera.exe to take snapshot, make V-Mail as well as capture images.
Comment by Jerra: I got it to load for me when it asks you to connect to camera automatically, delete the tick. it took awhile to download from the disc.
