Question about HP PSC 1610 All-in-One Printer, Scanner, Copier

1 Answer

It keeps trying to do the alignment but says to put paper in try but there is paper in the tray. I have checked for jams, reinserted the paper several times and tapped it to be sure the paper is aligned correctly.

Try the following:

first make sure, the load tray is not overloaded, that the paper is paper that you have been able to use before on your printer and the right size, not used and proper thickness for your printer. make sure also that the paper is not adjusted to tight on the tray.

1. reset your printer:

  1. Without turning the product off, remove the power cord from the back of the product.
  2. Wait 30 seconds and then plug the power cord into the back of the product.
  3. If the product is not already on, use the On button to turn it on.

2. check that the paper being used is paper that your printer can use or has used (use unused paper), Insert the stack of paper into the product and gently push the paper guides snugly against the paper. Make sure that the paper is completely inserted into the product and can be picked up by the paper rollers.

3. review the printer settings in the print driver
  1. Open a document in the program being used to print.
  2. Click File , click Print , and then click Properties . The product Properties dialog box appears.
  3. Click the Paper/Quality tab.
  4. Choose the appropriate paper size from the Size is drop-down menu.
  5. Choose the appropriate paper type from the Type is drop-down menu.
  6. Click OK and then click OK again to print the document.
4. you may need to get a product form hp to clean the feed rollers ( HP Paper Feed Cleaning Kit) or simply try to do this on your own as follows:
  1. Turn off the product and unplug the power cord.
  2. Open the access door to gain access to the rollers. Depending on the model, this is usually the rear access door. See the product user guide for information about locating the rollers.
  3. Clean the rubber rollers with a lint-free cloth, lightly moistened with water.
  4. Make sure that any paper rollers that rest on the input tray, which are located behind the back rollers, are cleaned. A clean cotton swab, lightly moistened with water, might be necessary to reach these rollers.
  5. Close the access door and plug in the power cord.
  6. Try printing again.
If the issue is not resolved you may have to take the printer and have it serviced by HP directly!

My epson xp-312 will not print on photo paper.it keeps saying paper jam.how can i load when the back tray only allows one sheet of normal paper?

When a printer indicated paper jam, it means one of its sensors does not indicate a movement of paper, where it expects it. In only rare occasions the sensor is defect, but most of the time here is really a jam. This must not be a complete sheet of paper. Can be a little scrap left somewhere in the printer. Sometimes a paperclip fell in or just a paper tray was not put in place. Please open the printer and look careful using a flash light, to see if you can find anything that does not belong in the printer. Then switch it off and really unplug it for a few seconds. Reinsert the plug and switch on. If the error keeps coming back you should call a service centre, although ig you have to send it in for repairs, a new printer is probably cheaper, unless it is still under warranty.

Paper jams and burn

Lets try the following

  1. If there is no paper, load a new stack of paper into the paper tray.
  2. If there is paper in the paper tray, make sure it is straight. If the paper is curled, you should straighten it. Sometimes it is helpful to remove the paper, turn the stack over and put it back into the paper tray.
  3. Reduce the amount of paper in the paper tray, and then try again.
  4. Check that the MP tray mode is not chosen in the printer driver.
  5. If the LCD shows Paper Jam message and you still have a problem
Or try
  1. Pull the paper tray completely out of the machine.
  2. Use both hands to slowly pull out the jammed paper.
  3. Press the cover release lever to open the front cover
  4. Slowly take out the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly. The jammed paper may be pulled out with the toner cartridge and drum unit assembly, or this may release the paper so you can pull it out of the paper tray opening.
  5. Put the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly back in the machine.
  6. Close the front cover.
  7. Put the paper tray firmly back in the

Printer keeps saying alignment, load paper and press tick will not print anything off ?

It could be the cartridges are not seated properly in carrier. Try to remove any paper from the paper feed tray. Remove the cartridges from the printer. Then unplug and replug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reinsert the cartridges. Try to print again.

My Lexmark C510 keeps popping up with a Paper Jam 241 error in Tray 1. There is no paper jam. I open the printer door take the tray out, put it back in and shut the door. How can I fix this problem? I...

I have a Lexmark C510 colour printer: Manufacture date June 2005.
I had been getting the "Paper Jam 241 error in Tray 1" message for some time. Sometimes it would print just fine but in the past several months, it's been bad. I'd pull the tray out (notice roller marks on the top sheet that was only partially fed), reinserted the sheet properly into the tray and try again and again. The techy at Lexmark mentioned that I could purchase a new rubber roller that feeds the sheet but that I might first wipe down the roller myself as they get worn and old. I first wiped it down with a damp cloth to clean it then thought to try reconditioning it with leather conditioner we'd purchased for our couch (I'm sure Amourall would work just as well). Voila, the old, dry roller was picking up paper again. Just open the rear door and that grey roller (it's black again when you recondition it) is at the bottom. Hope that helps.

Paper jam

The way you describe your error, it seems that there is still some residual paper stuck inside the printer that may cause subsequent paper to be mis-aligned.

Paper jams can be tricky to solve. The paper is usually stuck inside the printer mechanism so even if there is no visible paper jam, you will still get the paper jam error. Try this:

1. Turn off your printer
2. Open all trays and remove any paper stuck there
3. Locate the button to open the printer, open it and remove any paper stuck there also.
4. Repeate the above step for all buttons that you can find to access the inside of the printer
5. Close all doors and put back all trays
6. Turn on your printer

Paper jams immediately when fed by either the tray or manually.

paper jams are common phenomenon in the printers.
it is due to improper alignment in the passage tray of the paper. just try to open the area where paper gets jammed and try to adjust the region where the paper gets jammed with your hand and very little force.
it works.

HP Laserjet 3050 paper jam

The rollers may be worn so it is not getting picked up evenly. Also, be sure that your paper tray in aligned properlyand guides are keeping the paper straight. If both of these seems to be good then there may be something in the paper path.
