To fix the shoulder the buttons, they are not physically broken, they are TEMPORARILY electronically broken. This problem can be fixed if you put your charger in it then wait about a day from playing it. It usually works, if your button slowly works in about 10 min its fully working, the other shoulder button may begin to have soe latency, this is normal. Just make sure you don't playing games like "Kingdom Hearts 358/2 or any zelda games in which u may use the l or r buttons alot

Yesterday (31/April) I was doing a Google search on the R4i "System Date Error" problem and found the permanent solution! Basically one that DOESN'T involve changing your system date to one that it's not! Check out this blog post:

http://www.nds-gear.co.uk/blog/2010/05/nds-gear-solves-r4i-sdhc-system-date-error-problem/

Follow the instructions and use their software (for genuine R4i-SDHC cards only of course) and problem should be solved! Worked for me on a regular DSi console with the original R4i SDHC card, 4GB memory.

Sounds the new error that's come up for R4i SDHC . The new update should fix it or you can rollback your date on your DS.

Or you could get a card that never has a date error like the M3i Zero card. I got mine from http://www.dscardworld.com and it never has given me any problems.

When turning nintendo ds lite on it comes up with this message System date error! Please check NDS system date.

it is just an eol (End Of Live) in the software of your ds card.
Plug out your ds and remove your r4 card.
Plug on your ds and change the date to 2009.
Plug out your ds and insert your r4 cart.
Plug on your ds and you can play again.
Now there wil be new software on the internet who is an update on the old software, so if you want to renew your software ist there on the net.

System date error! please check NDS system date

It's a bug issue in the firmware of the R4 cards. Won't work after 14 april 2010 unless you update the firmware of the R4 card.
For the time being you can set back the date before 14 april 2010 and it wil work directly.

Date error

Change the date back before the 14th April and you can play again. To be able to use the current date (date after 14 April), you have to update the firmware of your R4 card.
There is one available for the R4iSDHC version 1.16B.

Ds lite is reading system date error

Known problem with the NDS Cards but here is a temporary fix:Take out the NDS cards and start up DS without them
 • Tap the symbol in the middle of the screen at the bottom that looks like a DS.
 • Tap the blue box with a calender and clock in.
 • Change the date a month or two back.
 • Restart DS with NDS cards in.
Even though this is temporary the people at NDS are working for a solution. But until then you might just have to keep putting the date back.

Dsi system date error

Tried this myself - you could actually set it back to 2009, so just change the year, not the date.
