I recently bought 2 unlocked VX8500 for Cricket service from 2 separate sellers on e-bay. The first one works great but the second one won't receive picture or video messages, can anyone help, or do you have any suggestions as to what to do. Thanks in advance...

Because it is a CDMA phone you are very limited to where u can unlock the phone to, it can't become a world phone because it is not a GSM phone "has a simcard" you would need to use it on something like Sprint or Cricket, Cricket will unlock the phone for you, and Sprint will not support the phone, However if you want to unlock it anyways it will cost about 30$ for any online locking service to unlock it. Beware unlocking services under 29$ are fake and will try to get you to buy something else later that you don't need.
That is the risk you run from buying from E-Bay. I hope you got a great deal because you are going to have to take it/mail it to someone so they can unlock it. Not too many people who know how to unlock these phones are willing to share the information for free. Sorry Charlie. Just look up "unlocking a Iphone" on the internet and I'm sure you will find a hundred places that will do it for you(for a fee). Good Luck
CDMA cell phones generally cannot be used on any other network than the one that the ESN is programmed to. For example, Cricket ESNs can only be used on cricket, Verizon ESNs, can only be used on verizon... It doesn't matter if you change the firmware or not, many other service providers will not accept another service provider's ESN.
