Question about Philips Magnavox DVD/VCR Dual Player
To answer your question;
This has to do with the new HDCP encryption used by cable companies.
What is hdcp?
HDCP stands for High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection.
In other words it`s a protection for copyrighted material and is applicable in the HDMI format.
You can find more info HERE
Or by searching HDCP(bypass?).
At this point it is an industry nightmare and no one seems to know exactly where it`s going.
So the best i can do is to leave you with that info.
