Check to see if your alpine needs an external crossover and, your jvc doesn't.

Without having a play and a swear at it,this sort of problem is difficult to advise without a hands on but providing you have the speaker wires correctly connected then i would hazard a guess and say the output transistors are either weak or just been overloaded and cooked

No sound from speakers, but yes from sub. Grounding issue?

Grounding issues are just simply earth connections that are either loose or are badly soldered. Sometimes with bad soldering a knock on the unit can make it play. It's just a question of going inside and looking - with a lens sometimes - at soldering joints - wire connections and screws fixing. Random cut outs certainly sound like bad soldering problems etc. The only other cause is heat sensitive devices, which shut down when too hot. But I wouldn't jump to that conclusion just yet.

Why does my sub have low sound with my sound bar?

Your sub will only produce lows. You cannot hook up a sub and expect to get mids or highs if that is what you are looking for.

High wattage car stereo

positive (1 guage) from main battery to second battery positive terminal. hook all amps positive to second battery and hook 2nd battery ground to frame of car (where amp is now grounded) if you have a 2nd battery a cap is a waste of money. make sure all grounds (battery and amps) are together on same ground point of car, do not ground amps to battery - ground everything to 1 spot on the frame or body of the car ! - yes you can pigtail remote leads.

Is it a good idea

Hi,

Based on your description and on the idea of a single amp, then your plan of hooking up both the subwoofers in series (to get 8 ohms) would be the safest as against running the subs in parallel (2 ohms). This way the sub amp would not be overly loaded, you can compensate the slight loss in power by strategically positioning the 2 subs. A friendly reminder, pls observe polarity when hooking the sub speakers.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

Sony Xplod 500w green power light no sound

try running the system with a cross-over configuration.

So your left + will be left + and your right + will be in the right + but put the right (-) where the left (-) is and left (-) where the right (-) is. If that doesnt work, then that means that you shorted out your audio out channels. the only way you can fix that is if you have good soldering skills. But other than that I'de say scrap it, unless you have the high outputs and then buy another amp, some mids and highs and connect the mids and highs to the xplod

Off and On at mid and high volumes

sounds like you have a problem with your grounding on you amplifier. check for shorts on your amplifier and the place where you have it grounded. (or check the power wire also.)
