Error 68 can mean that your start button is stuck; check to make sure the button is not stuck in the pressed position behind the controls cover.

THIS IS THE SOLUTION EVERYBODY HAS BEEN ASKING FOR AND I FINALLY FOUND IT, TRIED IT, AND IT WORKED.
Remove the lint filer. Now remove the waffled plastic that covers the lint filter slot. The screws are inside the dryer, so you can't see them unless you put your head into drum.Unscrew the 2 screws and don't let them fall into lint filter slot. Be careful when pulling off this piece as it is attached by 2 wires. These connectors may be temp or moisture sensors, but mine were covered in lint. I cleaned the inside of the lint filter area with slim nozzle vacuum and them carefully dusted off the wires (small paint brush). . Put everything back to gether... and Ta da! *E68 error is Gone . Hey friend, thank you for allowing me to assist you!
I understand that you are getting an E68 error code on your Frigidaire Affinity dryer, it usually stands for a key (button) that is stuck closed (active). Let's try entering a "Function Test Mode" and perform the Key Test to determine which button could be the problem. To perform "Function Test Mode": Press and hold START and the CANCEL button at the same time for 10 seconds. The key that is stuck should blink. Free the key and perform the test again. If the button is free but the error code still exists, the electronic control will more than likely need to be replaced after it has been properly diagnosed by a professional. If you need help in contacting a technician you can view the manufacturer website to find available technicians in your area. Hope this is helpful. -Matt
