Why after using my ac for 2 hours the bottom white tank gets full of water? Is this normal?

This is in the coffee maker section, but I think you are asking about a portable air conditioner.
The unit pictured shows the tank which is there to collect water.
- OK you say, why is that happening?
The air "conditioner" is actually an air cooler and when air is cooled, its ability to hold water vapour is reduced. If the humidity is high in the air that is being cooled, as it is being cooled it will condenseand fill up the white tank.
Hope this helps.
Cheers

Gas smell in coleman cooler

Clearly someone used the cooler to dump gasoline that was probably old. That odor is extremely difficult to get out. First try this: Let it air out indirect sunlight, tilting the cooler so the sunlight gets to the inside, Do this for at least three days and as much as a week. After you've done that, there will likely still be some of the gasoline smell still there but it should be a lot less noticeable.

Next, get a large box or even a bag of baking soda. Make sure the drain plug is in and dump at least two cups of baking soda in the bottom of the cooler.

Add enough water to make a paste of the baking soda. The paste should be thick enough to smear and stick to the walls of the cooler. Do that...smear it on, completely covering the walls, bottom and inside of the top of the cooler.

If you run out of paste make a little more but make sure that every part of the inside of the cooler is covered with paste. Leave the paste on for a minimum of 24 hours but preferably 48 hours or more. Shut the lid to slow down drying of the paste.

After 24 hours or more, check to see if any odor remains. If it does, wait another 24 hours. After 48 hours, the baking soda will likely have done as much as it's going to do. Rinse the dried baking soda off the walls bottom and top, letting the residue collect in the water that is filling the cooler.

Add the remaining baking soda in the box or bag to the water stirring it until it has dissolved. Fill the cooler to the top with water and close the lid. Wait 24 hours then drain the cooler. If you're lucky the odor, or most of it, will be gone.

This is a slow tedious process but it can work. I've never tried it on gasoline odor but I used it forplastic pickle buckets and it's never gotten the odor completely out but it has gotten enough out to make the bucket usable. Good luck!

if it is a portable air conditioning unit, the tank will fill up with water as the unit pulls humidity out of the air. you will need to empty it when it gets to the full mark

I have Model ET8CHMXKQO-3 whirlpool fridge with the same problem. The problem I believe is due to the drain line to the tray that collects defrost water freezing up. Temporary solution is defrosting the fridge; permanent solution is running a thin wire thru the drain line that aparently prevents the condensing water from freezing. I am trying to find out how to install this wire and where to buy it.

Machine works, but no water collecting

A dehumidifier is basically a cooler. The condenser coil on the outside should feel cold to the touch usually around 34 to 38 degrees, as air passes over the coils they collect the humidity in the air and it then drips down into a collector tray. If the coil does not feel cold it is ether a bad control switch not letting the cooler (compressor) turn on, low on freon, or burned out compressor

Water accumulation underneath the bottom vetable

Two solutions
1 If a frost free fridge/freezer - ice build up in internal cooler - defrost totally until no more water
2 if ordinary fridge/freezer look inside at the back, you should see a very shallow 'V' shaped plastic channel running to a small drain hole which leads to the rear outside of the unit. This channel collects the water drips from the cooler
Clear this hole with a pipe cleaner or cocktail stick or similar

Leaking frost-free Zanussi fridge-freezer

Has this thing a separate frezer and cooler compartment.
Have tried to completely defrost and clean that thing.
At times like in airco's the pinch valve for the cooling process to effect (expansion) is stuck frozen, or very seldom broke.

Wine cooler has water in the bottom

Place some kitty litter crystals in a pair of nylons and place it in the area where the water is collecting. This will help absorb any excess water build up.
