Hello brent_legget, my name is Mike Houston of DISH Network customer service. I want to say sorry you're having that issue; there are things we can check on that. First we want to make sure the receiver is plugged directly into the wall and let the receiver power up on its own. Once the receiver powers up, we will want to check the DVR and try to check recordings. And if the problem still persist please reply to this post so I can help further.

Thank You

What does [ time shift speed ] mean? And in Pvr it always displays c. Drive. It it won't allow selection of usb. It displays [ usb 0]

Time shift speed on a PVR usually relates to the speed of the recording. It depends on how fast you want to fill up your drive. The faster the drive fills up usually gives you a better quality then a slower recording speed.

As far as the USB goes. "USB 0" is usually the first USB connection. Some electronic devices and electronics in general start counting at 0 not 1. Just plug it in the USB port and select USB 0. It should work for you.

My Humax Duovisio PVR-9200T often freezes completely and has to be switched off at mains for a few seconds. Or commands from remote (eg subtitles, menu, channel change) take minutes to respond. Or...

Remove the Aerial.
Switch on or if it's frozen switch off at the mains and on again.
Press Menu
Installation and enter password - 0000
Select 'Default Setting' and OK
Select 'YES' and OK to restore all settings to factory default.
Confirm again to start loading, enter the password again and it will start scanning for channels but won't find any.
Replace the aerial and press OK to rescan and now it will find channels. On completion press SAVE then EXIT on your keypad.
You won't lose any saved programmes but you will have to re-schedule your recordings.

Motorola Dual Tuner PVR - DCT 6412-III --- HELP

I was just reading another blog on this problem and it seems you must clear any recording setup you have for the program the go to the settings and in the history file delete all listings of it. This can take a while as you must delete them one at a time. Then you can reset the series or single recordings. Seems to work for some people. I am having the same problem and programs are disapearing one at a time. Good Luck

Motorola Dual Tuner PVR 6412-III ( HD )

If you cannot get it repaired, note that it has a 120GB disk-drive -- very small when compared to the latest model (500GB), and note that the disk-drive probably is approaching 10 years old -- doomed to "fail" soon. Replace it, and add an external-SATA "Expander" to add another 1000GB of storage of recordings.
