Question about Evga e-GeForce 6200 GeForce 6200, (256 MB) Graphic Card

Hp wont accept gpu

I bought the 6200 256 and installed it in an older 03 hp a305 modle. at the end of the installation the monitor would click off or cause smears. the system is running a celeron cpu @ 2.70 ghz and upgraded to 1.24 gp ram. I bleave the intell graphic controller may be the source, not sure.it's a intell 82845g/gl/ge/pe/gv.. hope u can help.

Hi im wesley. you are rite it is the video controller try downloading the latest version of the graphics card it mite work but i doubt it i have the same laptop and the same problem the laptop i think doesnt support it in some way but a smaller graphics card does work

Mahjong 6 was produced in 2004 and will likely not be compatible with your operating system, operating systems that are 64bit are often less compatible with software than operating systems that are 32bit, especially with older software. One solution you can try is to:
  1. Right click the desktop shortcut for the game
  2. Click "properties"
  3. Click the "compatibility" tab
  4. Check the box next to "run in compatibility mode for"
  5. Select Windows XP
  6. Click Apply
This may allow the game to run by emulating an older operating system.

I bought a lcd monitor samsung syncmasterB1930 and it requires 1324*1068 screen resolution. i have installed the drivers for the monitors but still unable to get the desired resolution. is there any way...


The native resolution if this monitor is 1440x900 - i have no idea how you end up with that weird resolution. In any way it will not accept a higher resolution.

Yes, it will. Go to: www.hp.com
Click the Support and drivers section
Click to download and type the model in there. Choose the correct model, then choose Win 7 Operating System.
Download the "Full feature software and drivers"
Unplugh the printer from the pc, start the installation of the software you downloaded and when it asks, plug it back in, finish the install and your done! :)

The problem is most likely a damage to the MB by excessive heat produced by Nvidia GPU. The only way to fix this permanently is to take out the MB and reflow the GPU with heat. You can find a video on youtube how to do it. You must take out the piece of gel between GPU and cooling unit and replace it with copper bar or penny made prior 1983 - still made out of copper. Also clean the fan. Use heat transfer paste like arctic cool - not a glue, on both sides of the penny. Install win7. Win7 does not use the coprocessor and will help to ran the notebook cooler. Install speedFan 4.40 - free utility to see what the temp is of your GPU and CPU. If you did good job it will stay around 55C. If your HP notebook is still running check the temp. If the GPU is running 80C or more it will melt the connections on the MB and quit working sooner or later.

Hi, I bought some expired ink on line and my HP d145 won't accept it


the printer will not accept it, have it return where you purchased and tell them that you have recieve an expired ink cartridge and your printer wont accept or charged it when it is installed, send it back and have it replace

Scan will not work


Step one: Make sure that the Digital Imaging Monitor is ready The Digital Imaging Monitor must be running in order for the Scan To function to work. The Digital Imaging Monitor icon (c01387841.gif ) normally appears in the Notification area at the lower-right corner of the computer screen. The monitor is ready when a check mark appears on the icon after you start the computer. If the Digital Imaging Monitor is in the system tray, skip to 'Step two: Populate the Destination List.' If the Digital Imaging Monitor does not appear in the system tray, follow these steps.
  1. Click Start , and then click Run .
  2. In the Open text box, type msconfig , and then click OK .
  3. In the System Configuration Utility window, click the Startup tab.
  4. Search the list for HP Digital Imaging Monitor . If HP Digital Imaging Monitor is not on the list, the driver was not correctly installed or a custom install was used. You need to reinstall the software. Click here to go to Step three: Uninstall and reinstall the software .
  5. Select the HP Digital Imaging Monitor check box.
  6. Click Apply , and then click Close .
  7. Click Restart to restart the computer.
Step two: Populate the destination list The destination list must be populated in order for the Scan To function to work. Follow these steps to fill out the destination list.

    • If the scan still fails, continue to 'Step three: Uninstall and reinstall the software.'

  1. Unplug the USB cable connecting the product to the computer. CAUTION: Do not reconnect the USB cable until the on-screen instructions prompt you when you reinstall.

  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the software removal. NOTE: If asked to remove shared files, click No . Other programs that use these files might not work if you delete the files.
Reinstall the software
  1. Turn the product on.
  2. Open a new window to browse to the Select Software and Drivers page:
    1. Right-click this link, Select Software and Drivers , and then click Open in New Window .
    2. If prompted, type your product number. You might also need to click it in a list of similar products.
    3. Click your operating system. (If you do not know, click Start, right-click My Computer on the menu, and then click Properties .) The Select Software and Drivers page opens.
  3. Click the Full Feature Software and Drivers option.
  4. Click Download only . This option allows you to install the software at any time after the download completes.
  5. Click Save , and then browse to the location on your computer where you want to save the file.
  6. Click Save . The software downloads to your computer.
  7. When the download is complete and you are ready to install the files, click Open Folder , and then click the downloaded file. The file name ends in .exe
  8. You can accept the default location to save the files. Click Next , and then wait while the installer extracts the files to prepare for installation.
  9. When the Install Wizard starts, follow the on-screen instructions to install the software. Important : If you choose a Custom type of installation (available for some products), make sure to install HP Imaging Device Functions so that you can scan from the printer. The Recommended installation type installs this feature automatically.

Solution

Follow these steps in the order presented to resolve the issue.

Step one: Verify that the Digital Imaging Monitor is ready

The Digital Imaging Monitor must be running in order for the Scan To function to work. The Digital Imaging Monitor icon normally appears in the system tray at the lower-right corner of the computer screen, and the monitor is ready when a check mark appears on the icon after Startup is complete.

If the Digital Imaging Monitor is in the system tray, proceed to Step two.

If the Digital Imaging Monitor does not appear in the system tray, follow these steps.
Windows 98, Me, and XP

1.Click Start , and then click Run .
2.In the Open text box, type msconfig .
3.Click OK .
4.In the System Configuration Utility window, click the Startup tab.
5.Search the list for HP Digital Imaging Monitor .

Step two: Populate the destination list

6.Click Settings .
7.Click Scan Settings and Preferences .
8.Click Scan to... Setup .
9.Click the Destination List tab.

NOTE: Depending on the computer performance, it can take several minutes for the Front Panel Destination List to populate after the printer or computer is turned on.

10.If the Front Panel Destination List is empty, continue with this procedure.
11.If the Front Panel Destination List contains valid scan destinations, proceed to step three to uninstall and reinstall the software.
12.Click each program to include on the Scan To list.
13.Click the Add arrow.
14.Click OK .
15.Scan a document using the Scan To button on the front panel.
16.If the scan fails, try to scan using the HP Solution Center Scan button.
17.If the scan still fails, proceed to Step three to uninstall and reinstall the software.

Step three: Uninstall and reinstall the software

1.Insert the software CD into the CD-ROM drive of the computer. The software installer should automatically start.
2.If the software installer does not automatically start, complete the following steps.
3.Click Start , and then click Run .
4.In the Open text box, type X:\setup , where X is the letter of the CD-ROM drive.
5.Click OK .
6.On the installer screen, click Uninstall . If there is no Uninstall option, the software installation is incomplete.
7.Insert the software CD into the CD-ROM drive of the computer. The software installer should automatically start.
8.If the model supports custom install, install HP Imaging Device Functions to scan from the printer. The recommended install will install this feature automatically. It must be manually selected during a custom install.
9.Follow the onscreen instructions until the printer software is completely installed.
10.After successful installation, scan a document.

Step four: Service the product

If you have completed all the steps listed above and are still experiencing a problem, service the product.

Wont install the monitor driver software


right click on an empty space on the desktop then select properties ---> settings ----> advanced ---- > monitor ---> properties --> driver -->update driver. Here select ---not this time --next --> install from a specific location --> next -->select "don't search......" ---> next. On the next screen select have disk and insert the monitor software cd and install the monitor drivers.
