NVIDIA GeForce 6200 and Intel(R) 82865G Graphics Controller

Due to the fact that you are using the Integrated Graphics of the motherboard, by plugging the monitor into the I/O area on the back of the computer; AND cannot use the graphics card when plugged into it;
{Input/Output area}

1) It sounds like you opened the computer, physically installed the graphics card, and plugged the monitor into the graphics card.

IF, the above is correct; OR,

If you physically installed the graphics card, plugged the monitor into the graphics card, and THEN installed the drivers off of an installation CD, or from Nvidia Support;

you have a Driver Conflict.

Explanation;
When a device is installed on a computer, (In this case a graphics card), Windows 'breaks it's neck' to find matching Drivers.

If THE drivers are not there, Windows will match up one of it's Thousands, of generic drivers.

This Will NOT DO. A Driver conflict results;

Windows: "Which drivers do I use?
These or THESE?"

Also;
Drivers for the Nvidia GeForce 6200 graphics card MUST be installed.

Drivers are small pieces of software, that allow the Operating System to 'communicate' with a device.
{Windows XP and Windows 7 are two examples of an O/S}

A) Unplug the computer from power. (Computer off, 'natch)

B) FOLLOW Anti-Static Precautions

C) Remove the graphics card, plug the monitor into the I/O area at the back of the computer.

D) Press the Power On button in, and hold it in for a count of Five seconds. Count '1001, 1002, 1003, 1004, 1005'. Release the Power On button. Do this procedure two more times.

What you are doing is clearing CMOS Error Codes, and resetting BIOS Setup parameters back to the factory default settings.

Leave the cover off, plug the computer back into power.
WAIT 1 minute. Turn the computer on.

When Windows loads install the installation disk, and follow the instructions. (Install the drivers, and the tools), OR

Download AND install the drivers from Nvidia Support,

http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp-285.58-whql-driver.html

I am installing an old video card but its not being detected by windows. i am running windows 7 32 bit and the video card is an MSI NX8600GT Twin Turbo. i even installed "new drivers" which...

Please check the following :
- First, deactivate the onboard VGA adapter in your BIOS. Some other settings can help to start up first the external video adapter.
- If this did not help, check that you have the latest BIOS version, some BIOS have been updated in the past, especially for some graphic card support for some Nvidia cards.
- Then some questions : do you have picture on this card when booting ? Such as the power on self test (POST) ?

My guess is that your system is getting too hot. That GPU outputs a bunch of heat and so does the rest of your system. You need to bring down those temperatures. Install as many fans as your chassis will allow. 120mm high RPM fans as exhausts say 2000RPM and slightly slower ones for the intake say 1200RPM.

Check the Nvidia website for the latest drivers, check everyday.
Use a program called Hardware Monitor to check the temperatures.
Also install MSI Afterburner, don't change the clock speeds.

Are you sure that the CPU Cooler is making proper contact with the CPU, check this by using the Temperature monitor software.
Update your version of Windows to the latest service pack and security updates.
Check that the PCI-Express cables are making good contact.

Take care!

$ this is a serious problem it is general that high end GPU s get hotter with the amount of graphic intensive work you do.
$look if the GPU's run cooler in windows vista or seven just for your experience
$look for some other cooling methods like moving it into a Air conditioned room or try installing a water cooling system for the GPU's you can get it online for a reasonable price

Update of ATI Radeon HD 2400 is causing problems - my two screen display keeps switching to single screen since the update of Nov. 13th, 2010.

Click the START MENU, click the CONTROL PANEL. Locate the APPEARANCES AND THEMES link. Click the DISPLAY tab or MONITOR Tab. In this option, a DROP BOX MENU will be available. Click the ATI RADEON HD 2400 PRO device. It may say something similar to MULTIPLE MONITORS. After doing so, you may configure the MONITORS as to giving them a position such as MONITOR #1 AND #2. You may do this by DOUBLE CLICKING the monitor example pictures above the drop box menu to verify which monitor will be your main DISPLAY.

Screen not sharp. colour combinations only 32 bit. Suspects the wrong VGA driver for the HP 8430 Laptop was installed. Needs the right driver.

Make sure the screen is set for 1680 x 1050 when you right click on the desktop and go to Personalize... Display Settings. If it is set higher or lower than that it will look fuzzy and weird.

If you would like to reinstall the driver it is here:

Just select the OS and go for it.

Gpu working not getting monitor picture

Is there another type of video output on the card, like S-Video? It could be trying to use the other output as the primary rather than the regular VGA. If this is the case, use nvidia's display utility to manage which output should be the primary.
