Question about Compaq Computers & Internet
This could be many things:
A. Your monitor is capable of receiving more than one kind of video signal - like a TV - and you need to change the input source (see manual).
B. Your computers video card is capable of outputting more than one type of video signal, and needs to be set for your monitor (Control Panels).
C. You are plugging the monitor into the wrong video port.

The problem was the resolution setup on the old crt monitor was not compatible with the new lcd monitor. I changed the resolution to one suggested/recommended by envision and the problem was solved.
