If this radio has a set of rca inputs on the back of the radio you can buy a patch cord wire that will plug right into the ipod

Panasonic cq-c7105u ... I understand my AUX connection is in the back, but do I need to buy a certain kind of connection or adaptor??

Depends what you want to connect to AUX if it is an iPod then you need an adapter! the unit is not Bluetooth capable but you can add Hands free Bluetooth kit:
  • The optional adapter (Direct Cable for iPod: CA-DC300U) allows you to connect the optional iPod series.
  • Hands free bluetooth kit (CY-BT100U)

Does using an ipod/AUX adapter through the CD changer input stop a real CD from working?

you have to change it from the Aux setting to CD when you want to play cd, some cd players switch to aux. automatically when you plug inthe aux. cable. and may have to be unplugged when playing cd.

I have a CDE-9872 and it wont pick up my ipod touch

Add Alpine's optional "Full Speed" connection cable and you'll be able to use the CDE-9872 to control your iPod. -Crutchfields website

This is compatible with first and second generation iPods touch.
fyi- if you have a mini-stereo aux in jack on the deck you can connect a ipod touch compatible mini stereo cable to the earphone jack of your ipod.

Stereo

The aux is for the cd player, there is no wire in the back for an aux. But you can buy an adapter that splices into the back which allows you to use the stereo to control your ipod. It only works because you could have a 6 cd changer stock, so it uses those controls.

HELP! ipod wont work.

Hi guys, just figured out how to hook up your Ipod to the above mentioned stereo, Here is how...

- Put your stereo in STBY mode, then push the menu button, scroll up or down and you get different options to change clock and AUX settings, my AUX was OFF and I had to select ON. Now you can push your Sorce button (the one that puts the stereo in STBY) and you will have the AUX option this will allow you to play your MP3 players and Ipods. ENJOY!

I spent a few hours looking for this very explination so I hope this saves the rest of you some time. Safe driving.

Add Music Link to 2008 Rigeline

I haven't done this to my ridgeline, but I did it to my 1992 accord.  You can have any auto radio shop add a wire from the aux input on the back of the factory radio that comes out in a hidden place, like one of the little storage places under the radio.  Just plug it into your ipod and push the XM/AUX button on your radio, and you're good to go.  Should cost under $100.

How do I add an Aux input?

Does your Alpine support the ALPINE AI NET adapter?

If so, this will work;

Otherwise, you might want to get an FM Transmitter;

Best of Luck.
