Question about Memorex MMP8565 MP3 Player
By default, it looks like the device mounts as MTP when you connect via USB (media transfer protocol).

There is a tutorial on the Memorex Electronics website:

Look for "MMP8565 Digital audio player with 1GB flash memory"
And the "Product Tutorials" for a pop-up tutorial.
(Note: The MMP8568-HIT looks pretty close to MMP8565).
However, I found that if you hold down the Play/Pause button while connected via USB, it will change to mounting as USB Mass Storage Device Class (USB MSC).

This will make the media player look like another USB flash drive, and let you see it as a removable disk drive (e.g., "F:")
From there, I see:
F:\MUSIC
F:\PICTURES
F:\PLAYLIST
F:\VIDEO
And, Windows Media Player also sees the files.
Simply drag-n-drop to the directory (e.g., using Explorer) to add/remove files from the MP3 player.
I prefer this method, as I don't need to use Windows Media Player at all.

Rmgalles solved all my problems. Been spending months trying to get video onto this machine with no success. But his fix worked where nothing else would. Much gratitude. Much. This had been driving me crazy.

Go to memorexelectronics.com and then to support. You need to upload the current firmware for model MMP8568. I downloaded the firmware program and followed the instructions, it fixed all the problems I was having with the mp3 player. Make sure you follow the instructions carefully, it may get a little tricky if you are not somewhat computer literate.

mp3 will not sync with windows media player
Boot Error, Shutting Down
the player turns on and off, every minute or so, causing my system to 'detect new hardware' everytime! it worked at first, i sync'd it full, but now i can't get it to recognize it, to sync. i cant find a thing to help!

i have memorex with a model of MMP8568-HIT i dont know how to transfer songs in my pc to my mp3
I have figured out how to sync the music but i can't figure out how to upload my pictures to my mp3. How is it done?
Even when my mp3 player says that it is syncing, the songs never come up

My MMP8565 has one album that I put on it when I first got it. Then everytime I put more music on it it will only play the first album. I canot even find the others so I tried to add them again and it says these albums are already on the device. It still only shows and plays the first album. Now I turned the device off and it will not even turn back on...I am very frustrated!
