I dropped my camera on the lens while it was open, now it will not close. I noticed it was slightly blurry when i tryed to take a new pic. I turned it off and then back on and the lens didn't move

Here are some troubleshooting steps that you can try that may (or may not) correct it. They only seem to work for less than 40% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty (or repair cost approaches that of the camera), they're worth that try. Some of the later steps do involve some risk to the camera, so carefully weigh your options before deciding to conduct them:

Lense will not fully retract or extend pics are blurry

hello.

One of these reasons Causes the Problem:
  • Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism.
  • camera's been dropped with the lens extended.
  • he camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension.
  • the battery ran down with the lens extended
In Order to do somthing about that read this article.

Blurry camera screen

If the pictures are blurry, you probably damaged the lens with the drop. You will have to send the camera to the factory service to replace the lens unit, if it is not serviceable.

If you drop a camera this is not normally covered by the warranty. You may find it cheaper to replace the camera than have any major service done to it.

more than likely you will have to send it in. I don't think there is anything that you can do to fix that at home. If the pics still come out ok you can live with it. If pics get blurry then you will have to send it in.
