How do I put the blades back in my model 059750 005 000 trimmer

I have the same model. Actually, they're quite old. If you don't have replacement blades already, you can find them at Sally Beauty Supply ( sallybeauty.com for a location near you ) for about $20 for this model. The replacement blade may not be available online, but my local store has it available for purchase. You may find it available at your local beauty supply.

Remove the two screws that hold the 2-piece blades in place. Remove the blades and take note of how they are situated together. Both have flat sides that slide together where the teeth meet. Your replacement blades should be arranged in the same manner when you put them back on the trimmer. First place the smaller blade onto the clip. This is best done by aligning one of the diamond shaped hole with one of the flat prongs, then pushing the balde towards the side to help snap the other prong into the other diamond shaped hole. Once this is securely in place put the larger blade on so that the smooth surfaces touch each other and the holes for the screws are lined up. Replace the screws securely but do not tighten it. Do the same with the second screw. You should just barely be able to slide the larger blade around with some effort. You will need to do this to properly align the blades together. The teeth of both blades should never meet at the tip. The smaller blade should be about 1/16 - 1/8 of an inch away from the tip of the larger blade and should be evenly spaced all the way across the width of the blade. If you have this set properly, go ahead and tighten one of the screws. Check the spacing of the blades again to ensure they have not moved. If they have, you just need to slightly loosen the one tight screw and re-adjust. Tighten the screw back down. If all is aligned propperly, you should be able to tighten the second screw without any problems. Don't forget to lubricate the blades with the proper oil. Check you local beauty supply store if you need oil. That's it. They are now ready to trim.

MOTOR HUMS. BUT BLADE NOT SPINNING.

Hi,

See if you can turn the blades or reach a knife balde in to turn the blades....if something has jammed them.... get it removed... if they spin feely, then the motor is bad and replacement will probably cost more then a new one...

Extension pole sways back and forth while the fan is on

One or more blades is out of line. Get a ruler or a stick and mark the distance from the tip of one blade to the ceiling. Hold the stick in place and carefully rotate the fan until the next blade is near the stick. Do this until you have all four marks on the stick. It is important to try not to alter the position of the extension pole in between blades. Now you will find that one or more blades are at different heights. Carefully bend the worst blade until it is closer to the rest. If teh blade holders are cast, this may not be possible and you may have to pack the blade angle with washers or cardboard until they are right.

If by some chance they are all close, then it may be the "attack angle" of one blade. This is harder tot detect but sometime you can pick which balde by eye and adjust by trial and error until it is better.
Cheers,
Glenn.

Blade hit the ground and bent. Now getting a growling sound from blade bearing housings and mower stalls after five minutes or so.I did replace the blades...

I have a feeling that the bearings were damaged when they hit. The new blades are ok, but the bearings are growling and I don't know what is causing the engine to shut off. I would pull the deck off, check out the bearings, replace them if needed, just wobble the blade back and forth, it shouldn't move, should be tight, Take off the belt and spin the blade by hand, and see if it growls. It could be the drive pulley bearings that went, check them out too. hope this helps.

1989 Corvette - Windshield Wiper Arm Repair/replacement How do I remove and replace the right broken wiper arm and also replace the wiper blades on both arms?

On mine I lifted up the arm,at the base where its connected to the car there is a little metal tap that sticks out. Pick up on the tab,at the same time release the arm. It should stay up. Then kind of wiggle the base near the tab while pulling up on the arm.It should come right off.Its on a spline like stub.Try to put it back on the same spline teeth it came off of.This keeps the arm in the proper place. Once off its easier to see how the blades come off. Try calling a large auto parts store to see if they have your proper blades. Most large auto parts stores will install the blades for you for free if you buy blades from them.Dont buy the cheapest ones, they dont last.
I hope this helps you.

Mandrel chews pulley

Are you sure the spindle is not bent and also are you balancing the blades when sharpening. Other then that make sure bolts are tight on the mandrel. With the deck off and standing up spin the blades and watch center of balde to see if something is bent. Also watch pulley on the other side to see if its bent.

The easiest way I do it is go to an national chain auto parts supplier like Discount Auto Parts or Auto Zone. They will select the correct blades and will put your wiper blades on for free. Take it from me after cracking my windshield once this is how I do it.
