Acer produces a number of LCD computer monitors. Acer's monitors range from 17 inches to 27 inches. Some monitors offer wide-screen viewing, embedded speakers, high-definition visuals, and various display connection ports. Acer computer monitor problems include common issues such as dead pixels, error messages, and blank screens caused by incorrect connections. Some reviewers have also detected image problems with DVD playback on some models.
"Input Not Supported" Error Message Acer computer monitors such as the G24 may issue an "Input Not Supported" error message when users set the display resolution too high. The G24's maximum display resolution is 1920x1200 with a 60Hz refresh rate. Maximum resolutions vary according to the specific monitor model and according to the capabilities of the computer's video card. b> "Input Out of Range" b> Some Acer computer monitors may report an "Input Out of Range" error message due to incorrectly set monitor refresh rates. Much like the display resolution, each monitor also has specific monitor refresh rates with which it is compatible. Blank Screen or "No Signal" Error b> Like other monitors, Acer computer monitors feature color-coded power indicator lights. Ensure that the electrical outlet and the monitor are both switched on.
Check that the power cord is firmly plugged into the electrical outlet and the power supply unit.
If the power cord has a removable fuse, replace it.

The monitor is in the Power Management Standby state. The power management feature is invoked when the computer recognizes that you have not used your mouse or keyboard for a user-definable period. Perform the following steps to bring monitor out of the power management state:
Press any key on the keyboard or move the mouse to restore operation.
Check the Power Management software on your computer.
Press the (OK) key to switch between analog and digital mode. If the panel is the wrong mode for the signal being provided, the monitor appears to go into sleep mode.

Check that the signal cable is firmly connected to your computer

There are noises in the video signal. A small number missing, discolored, or lighted dots may be present on the screen, which is an intrinsic characteristic of the TFT LCD technology and is not an LCD defect. Using On-Screen display (OSD) controls

Note: The LCD monitor needs time to become thermally stable the first time you turn it on each day. Thus, to achieve more accurate adjustments for parameters, allow the LCD monitor to warm up (be on) for 15 minutes before making any screen adjustments
Ive seen this on other monitors. Look for a 1 and 2. Some monitors do NOT auto detect a signal, and this one might not. Look for a way to set the monitor from Digital input to VGA input. Try that and see.
It appears that the display resolution set in your display properties is out of the range that the LCD can display.
Boot to the ENABLE VGA MODE by pressing F8 to get the Windows Boot Menu. If you can get to the desktop, then go to display properties, and see if you can change the resolution to higher settings and maintain video. (If the video blanks out, then it should revert to the previous setting in 15 seconds)
If screen says "Signal cable not connected " all the time till power led switches to Amber chances are monitor is ok and problem is with graphic card or cpu.Connect to Known working CPU and confirm that monitor is the problem.
If same problem persists on another working cpu after changing signal cable,the interface board in the monitor could be defective.
Its not a malfunction. blinking light is indicator shows that no appropriate input signal detected. If you are using laptop refer your user manual to toggle to external display device. For example in most of the Toshiba Laptops requires to use Fn+F5 in order to use external display device like you have. If issue still persist you may post again by including the details of your laptop/desktop model.
I agree it isn?t the monitor but I would suspect the video card you are connecting it to or the PC itself. Generally if a monitor doesn?t detect a video signal it will go into hibernation mode, typically displaying a no signal warning and changing the LED color from green to amber.
When you start the computer is anything displaying at all? Are you sure the PC is powering up and booting?
It looks like it may be receiving power from the computer but not a signal. Try a different monitor cable from the PC and even a different monitor.
If doesn?t work, it could be the graphics card in the PC.
