Almost all of these small 15 Watt units run 8 ohm speakers...

Do NOT expect to get much improvement from changing speakers.

Marshall Amplification Marshall MG2FX Guitar Combo Amp power turns on but no sound

Hi!
At this point, I would just take it to a tech rather than poke around in it. It sounds like the power section is the problem as you have guessed, but without the technical knowledge you'd be shooting in the dark. That particular amp is right on the line of being expensive enough that would be worth repairing, but you might do just as wel to check Ebay for another used one.
Good Luck!

Can i connect 2 jbl 300 watt speakers to the mg 100hdfx 100 watt amp head ?

Yes you can as long as the speaker impedance when paralleled doesn't go below the rating of the amp. Marshall seems to hide their design lowest output impedance. Possibly you can find that in your owner's manual. Then find the impedance of the JBL. If half the JBL impedance is equal to or greater than the lowest impedance the Marshall is rated, you are fine to use it. The speaker Watt rating should always be bigger than the amp rating which it is in this case.

I have a Marshall MG100DFX. I turned my amp on a few days ago and I heard this loud sound (not the standard hum/buzz that you hear when you plug a guitar into an amp; it sounded more like a foghorn). Now,...

I would try hitting the side of the amp before turning it on. There may be a loose piece of solder or other conductive particle stuck somewhere. Bang the cabinet rather hard with your fist. If that doesn't help it might be a loose solder connection at a resistor or capacitor but a tech should check that out.

Left input for loudspeaker is dead? speakers both work out the left but neither on the right. can I fix it myself? marshall mg250dfx thanks

It sounds like the speaker output jack is broken or it has come unsoldered from the circuit board. You can fix this if you have enough electronics experience but you have to be very careful as components in an amp can carry a lethal charge even after being unplugged. You can partially discharge the capacitors by unplugging your amp from the power source with the speaker plugged into the working jack and set at a low volume while turned on ( not on standby ). If you feel at all uncomfortable attempting the repair yourself you are far better off taking it to a repair shop preferably one with experience with Marshalls. The same is true for other brands as well. Please let me know if this helps.

Sound fades after 15-20 minutes

There may be thermal sensor that protects the power amp that is sensing over temperature and turning off the power amplifier stage.

Try cooling with a fan and see if it lasts longer. If you are obstructing the cooling in any way, try to avoid that.

As a test, leave on for an hour and THEN try driving sound. If it works for a while, then driving is what is overheating it.

VERIFY that you are NOT running too low impedance speakers!!!

Most amps will drive down to 4 ohms. That is a single 4 ohm speaker or two 8 ohms in parallel MAX.

No output

There are some possibilities. One, your speaker may be blown or disconnected. Make sure the wiring is still connected to the speaker and if you have one, try measuring the resistance(impedance) of the speaker with a volt ohm meter.Do this unplugged from current and disconnect one of the wires from the speaker or you will get a reading from the output stage. Two if there is a heaphone or line out jack it may have become faulty. If you have sound with the headphones plugged in your amp is still producing sound. Some jacks are designed to interrupt the signal to the speakers allowing you to practice without bothering anyone. If your amp has that feature and you still have sound with the headphones and your speaker tests OK then your problem is the jack. Hope this helps.
