Can you provide the exact Make, Model and Kenmore model number? .......... Kenmore model numbers use the format ###.######## with the first three digits of 110 for Whirlpool manufactured machines......... The model number on top load washers is usually found by lifting the lid and looking above the tub. The Fixya numbers are Stock Numbers. Since top load and front load washers are very different, the actual Model Numbers are necessary to correctly diagnose the problem. Have you tried a different cycle??? Can you hear the motor???? Can you smell anything unusual???? Does it make any strange sounds (grinding etc.)???

Washer won't spin on spin cycle but spins during other cyles

Hello rylee1966 - From what you are describing, it sounds like the washer agitates, but it will not enter a high speed spin. If that is correct, more than likely there is a door switch failure. I will personally recommend contacting a professional to move forward accurately and to assist with the repair(s).

hi, it sounds like one of two possibilties, will try and help out. The first thing to check is whether the water/drain pump is actually working fine, i think it blocked. Secondly the pump may also be overheating and malfunctioning during the cyle, run it without clothes and check the flow of the drain during the drain/spin cycle and take it from there.

It is leaking during the washing and ring but not the spin or drain

Check to see if the washer inner tub is spinning during the agitation. If it is it is causing the water to spin up and over the side during the wash cyle. Bad brake package and usually not worth repairing. You can also have too much high sudsing soap in your washer, causing it to over flow out the safety overflow pipe. Good Luck Appliance Specialists.

Spin cyle

This may be a spin problem or a drain problem
Drain:
  • Make sure the drain line is clear
  • Check the drain hose for a partial blockage
  • Inspect the water pump
Spin:
  • Test the lid switch
  • Test the timer control
  • Test the centrifugal switch
  • Test the water level switch
  • Inspect the motor coupler
  • Inspect the drive belt (belt drive only)
  • Inspect under the washer for soot (clutch)
  • Test the motor
  • Inspect the pulley
  • Test the transmission

Hope it may help you;

Regards,

Wont spin out

are the clothes out of balance? sometimes it can take quite a few trys to rebalance the load. if that is the case, it probably could use new drum springs.
