Question about Sony FD Trinitron WEGA KV-36HS510 36" TV
Today I turned on my set to find that I am only getting 6 blinks followed by 6 blinks of my standby light. My Sony KV36HS510 has never given me a problem till now. I have read some post about obsolite circut boards and 500 dollar repairs of my existing one....Is this true? Any suggesitons on what exactly is the problem.
Ok well 1/2 hour didn't work when I tried, I tried several times and 4 hours later, bingo....
Who the heck knows this is crazy, if it makes it another 5 years then I guess I might not care.
I guess the story is unplug it and forget it for 24 hours.

Blinks in the indicator signifies malfunction particularly in the horizontal and vertical sections. It is sometimes caused by loose connections due to wear and tear.
If parts would be available, then there would be no such thing as obsolete boards. You can request your technician to have the degree of repair be evaluated first to determine if the expenses would justify its existence.
Your respose is highly appreciated.
