I have water to the door dispenser, but none to the ice maker? I have replaced the Ice maker and the water filter. This is a kenmore model 105-5062990. When I add water to the tray, it makes ice. I donot hear any noise when the ice maker arms turn over and push the ice out. Thanks for your help!

Check to see if the tube at the back is iced up. If it is, then water can't flow to the tray.

A simple way to fix the problem is to remove the ice bucket and use a turkey baster to spray hot water into the tube. It may take 15 or 20 minutes to unclog the tube.

Other way if the ice maker will not fill with water :
There are a few things to check for...one is a ice blockage in the fill spout tube, this is the hose that caries the water into the freezer section and to the ice-maker. If the elbow & tube has a ice blockage, it is usually best to replace the fill valve and the shut off valve. A very LARGE problem in the last few years has been the self piercing shut off valve clogging up with calcium and junk! Replace the self piercing shut off valve with a drill type shut off valve. You drill a 1/4" hole into the pipe and install the shut off valve the same way you would with a self piercing valve. If the fill spout hose is clear of ice, possible the fill valve has failed. You can test the fill valve coil several ways, ohm test - check coil on fill valve for continuity - no continuity = bad valve, volt test - cycle ice-maker and check for 100-110 volts to fill valve....proper power to the valve and no water usually = bad fill valve. You can also make up a test cord and put 110 volts to the fill valve alone to see if it is capable of passing water in to a bucket. If the water supply lines are ok and the fill valve is functioning properly, you probably have a ice-maker problem and may need a new one. This test cannot be done to all refrigerators, if any doubt post your full model and serial #'s in the Q&A section and we will check on this for you.

Hope helped with this.

This could be a number of problems..
1) valve to ice maker bad
2) icemaker switch not on
3) icemaker door switch blocked or turned off (some models)

I have a whirlpool WRF736SDAM11 french door fridge. I've changed the icemaker per a repairman, but I still have no ice.

if water is dispening and you replaced the ice maker, the most probable cause is a bad water valve. The valve has two outlets, one for the water and one for the ice maker; it appears that you ice side is not working as it is not likely to be from the Ice Maker

good luck

GE Side by Side Refrigerator model GSS25jfpa cc. No water to icemaker. Replaced the ice maker and the dual solenoid water valves. Still no water to ice maker? Water to door works fine.

if you can reverse the solenoid valve wire connections, then use the door water fill to activate this valve, but not long as it will overfill the icemaker, this will certify that theres water getting up to the icemaker, then it could be the maker itself not activating the icemakers water valve assy to fill the maker

Ice maker dont work

There are several things that can prevent and icemaker from working.
1- Temp in freezer. If the temp in the freezer is higher than 6 degrees the ice makers thermistat will not call for water.
2- Water inlet valve. If the inlet valve is malfunctioning the silinoid may not be opening. Even if you are getting water through the door.
3- Faulty ice maker. If the internal components of the ice maker are no longer functioning it wont make ice.

To test the inlet valve. In the back of the fridge is and access panel near the bottom remove this panel and look at the inlet valve. now you should see 3 hoses. One is usually copper and runs directly from the house water supply. There will be two other hoses from the inlet. One leads into the fridge for the water in door feature. The other is for the icemaker. Switch the two hoses from the ice maker ( water in door and icemaker) than push the water in door feature and see if the water goes into icemaker. If it does not than replace inlet. If does and temp in freezer is below 6 degrees replace icemaker.

If you need further assistance please comment me back.

Ice-maker does not work. water valve seems to be working.

There are 3 things that can prevent an ice maker from not working.
1- Temperature of freezzer- Temp must be below 6 degrees on most ice makers.
2- Water inlet valve- Depending on how your ice maker cycles it calls for water for 7.2 seconds. If you have ice and water though the door you have a dual valve and the ice maker selinoid ine the inlet may be bad. Also make sure water is getting to valve. Just because water is coming through the door does not mean water is entering fridge. There is a reservoir in fringe that holds around 3 gallons of water that can still make water come out the door without water entering fridge.
3- Faulty Ice maker- over time the winding and other components can get worn out and fail.

First check the temperature in the freezer.
Next check the inlet valve. To do this you need to remove the hose going from the inlet valve to ice maker and switch with the hose leading to door. Push the actuator in the door to call for water and see if water enters the ice maker. If it does inlet is good. Replace Icemaker. If not replace inlet valve. There may be a problem with the icemaker still but wont know until inlet is fixed.

My icemaker has stopped receiving water

it sounds like your water valve is bad. you have a double water valve - one side operates the ice maker and the other side operates the water dispenser. the ice maker side of the valve is bad.

you can manually pour a little water in the ice maker ice mold and wait an hour or so - if it dumps the ice then you know for sure that the ice maker is cycling and water is not getting to the ice maker from the water valved

Icemaker does not work

if the ice maker cycles but is not getting water check the water supply valve that supplies the water to the machine it split and sends water to the door and the ice maker that side of the valve that goes to the ice maker could be bad you can test it with a 120 volt line cord plugged in the wall plug to that side of the water valve if it works with the hose disconnected it may be a blockage or frozen line to the ice maker

My icemaker is not working. Water not filling tray

Probably the valve that feeds water to the ice maker leaks and this water freezes up at the filling tube to the ice maker and the water doesn't go through, but if the filling tube is not frozen and the ice maker doesn't call for water the problem is in the ice maker inside board ,if so you should replace the ice maker.

ICE MAKER QUIT MAKING ICE ON MY WHIRLPOOL FRIDGE

I had a Whirlpool Model GD5SHAXNS in which the icemaker quit working about the same time (3 years old). I had water out the dispenser, I found that it was the icemaker itself failed not calling for water to fill it. I replaced it with a icemaker on-line for about $100 and problem fixed. I have been told his is a common problem with the icemaker in this model ref.
