I have a bissel proheat carpet cleaner. THe trigger is stuck in the on position. However, no water or shampoo is coming out. I can pry it back out but it feels like a spring is missing or something like that.

i have a bissel proheat carpet cleaner model #7950. It is brand new. After one small room, the trigger got stuck in the depressed position and the spray was not working. I can pry it up, but it acts like a spring is missing and biggest issue is that no spraying is happening. Someone else posted a "it is broken and you need a new part" which was helpful, but is there aquick do it yourself fix?

You may need to replace the handle assembly, or at least take it apart and reconnect the spring inside the handle..

here is the repair manual, which has good illustrations on page 9 and 22 of working on the handle..

Yes..if it does that it is broke ..and it needs replacement...
I will link here to a list of parts diagrams for Bissel...on the end of the page you will find some Profeat models...I didn't know exactly which one ...(there are 3 or 4 models) so I will let you choose from there ...
when you click on diagram it will show you a scheme with all the parts numbered and a list with prices...and possibility to by ...locate the part ..and choose it from the list ..
Good luck !

WHERE DO YOU PUT THE SHAMPOO IN THE PRO SHAMPOO MACHINE THERE IS A CONTAINER IN THE BACK AND THERE IS THE WATER BAG IN THE FRONT SECTION

The shampoo solution goes in the back container. The clean water goes in the water bag in the front section.

If you need parts you can find them below

The water and shampoowon't come out but it cames

This model is famous for burning up the silinoid switch that allows the water to come out the bottom to clean the floors. That will need to be replaced, but my recommendations is to take this model back and bet your money back. It is engineered bad!

Bissell proheat does not pump outwater into carpet

Remove the water tank and shampoo dispenser, unplug the machine, turn it over and check for any obstructions, carpet fluff or pet hair is usually the problem. Hope this helps.

NO WATER COMING OUT FOR SHAMPOOING /DUMPS WATER WHEN UPRIGHT

there is a belt inside that runs the pump to spray the water. I would take it in a have it replaced. Mine did the same exact thing.

Cleaner Solution Not Dispensing On Bissell 9200 Pro Heat Cleaner

I haven't had this particular issue (yet... knock on wood!) with my Bissell, but remember that the shampoo will not dispense with no water in the tank (the most common cause of this issue because sometimes you think it has water but it doesn't) or water not flowing through the machine due to clogged sprayers-- another issue-- but since you're getting water on the floor that is not your issue-- or with the handle locked in position. If none of that fixes it, try removing the shampoo container, stand over a sink, and push your finger up inside the grommet where the shampoo container mates with the Bissell. Shampoo should dribble out. If it doesn't, unscrew the grommet (holding the container upside down of course so the shampoo doesn't gush out) and use your finger and running water to try and the grommet cleaned out.

If this isn't helping, it may be that your soap pump or soap dispensing trigger switch are defective.
