Question about Casio FX-9860G Graphic Calculator

Hello, I have a casio fx-9860 GII, and the sd card is stuck in it... how can I fix it?

To extract the SD card from its slot, you press with a finger on the edge. It should pop out a bit. Pull it out.
If it refuses to pop out, either you did not press hard enough to feel it move inside or ejection mechanism in calculator is defective.

How to factor


The TI 86 calculator does not manipulate algebraic expressions. If does not have a Computer Algebra System or CAS. Try the TI 89 Titanium, TI92/92PLUS, Voyage 200 PLT, TI Nspire CAS, TI Nspire CX CAS. In Casios you have the ClassPad series (300, 300Plus, 330 Plus and the latest 400. The ClassPad 400 has a color screen. It is also orientable portrait or landscape. Other Casios are the Algebra FX 2 and 2, and the FX 9860 G Plus/ SD. In HP you have HP 50G, HP49C, HP49G+.

Can you calculate indefinite integrals on the casio fx-9860G


Unfortunately, the Casio FX-9860 G does not have a Computer Algebra System or CAS. For this reason it can only calculate definte integral over a given interval. The lower and upper limits must be supplied. The result will be a number.
Casio calculators that have a CAS are the Casio ClassPad CP330/ 300Plus/ 330, or the Algebra FX 2.0.

You can calculate the log to any base using the logab function in the MATH menu.

I have a Casio fx-9860 GII SD and in the User's guide is something called F-MEM on OPTN when you click on F6, F6 and then F3. But when I do that it's empty space between TVM and Logic. What do I do?


You can define up to 20 functions and store them in Function Memory or F-MEM. If you did not store any function in F-Mem you will not find anything when you press SEE tab under F-Memory.

No, your calculator cannot factor polynomials. You need a calculator that has a CAS (computer Algebra System)
Yes Casio sells calculators with CAS: The FX-Algebra 2.0 and 1.0, the FX-9860GPLUS/GII SD, the GRAPH85 or 80 and the Graph 100+. You also have the CLASSPAD Series 300PLUS and 330.

No, it does not. You will need a graphing calculator such as the Casio FX-9750G Plus or the newer version FX-9750 GII.
