If you are getting no lights no power or any sounds the first thing to check is the power to the dishwasher, make sure there are no wall switches in the kitchenmachine was running and just stopped. no lights on - 2_bing.gif that have been turned off and that the breaker has not tripped if those are fine then the most common component to fail and cause this symptom is the thermal fuse.

It is located in the console attached to the control circuit board. The fuse is about $20.00 in cost. The part number is W10258275

If you want to replace this part your self I would be happy to walk you through the process, a little mechanical ability some hand tools and a basic understanding of electricity is needed.

Here is a picture of the part

I have Samsung front loader washing machine that stop working suddenly there is no power no nothing and I checked power supply and nothing wrong with power supply .

Your power supply normally connects to an EMI filter immediately upon coming into the washer. If you have a voltmeter and are comfortable with electricity, you should remove the top cover of the washer to access the connections. Unplug the washer and shut off the water while dismantling. Remove the 2 screws at the back of the top portion (lid) and push the lid towards the back to dislodge it.
At this point, you should be able to locate the incoming power cable and see where it connects to the EMI filter. Once you have identified the connections, plug it the washer and verify that there is voltage both before and after the EMI filter. If there is no voltage at the incoming side of the filter, then your cable is broken and should be replaced. If there is voltage on the incoming side of the filter and none on the outgoing side, your filter is open circuited and should be replaced. If there is voltage at all locations, look for wires that may have shaken off during operation. When poking around inside the washer, looking at wires, pull the plug first. If this does not help, take a picture of the schematic diagram that is affixed to the top of the soap dispenser/water inlet box and post it for our reference. I have attached a typical diagram from a older Samsung washer. section-yodzb2tavlblrpvbck4ieuwo-2-1.jpg

Amber light is flashing on my computer and it won't turn on at all. Help!

The Dell Dimension 300 gets the amber blinking light when there is power to the computer (the power supply) but the motherboard isn't getting the correct power. Sometimes it can indicate a motherboard fault or that the power supply is not set to the correct incoming voltage.

Check the back of the computer. If the power supply has a switch for incoming voltage, make sure that it matches your incoming voltage. Next check that the main power cable (20 or 24 pins depending on the computer) is fully seated on the motherboard. (It can only be connected one way and should lock onto the connector on the motherboard.)

Next check that the power supply is providing the correct power. You can simply install another power supply (known to work on another computer). Make sure that the PSU is correctly sized for the computer components. Alternatively use a multimeter or a dedicated power supply tester or put it in a different machine.

If the problem is not cured with a new PSU, the motherboard has a failure. Unfortunately, it's difficult to identify the exact bad component. (If a major component other than the CPU on the motherboard had failed, the diagnostic lights or beep codes could help identify the issue.)

I hope this helps.

My incoming voltage is only reading 200v, will this stop the unit from running??

If it needs 208 or 220 then yes it will stop the unit from running.Check the voltage at the circut breaker to verify its not a wiring issue.

You may need to get a new circut breaker. Also check a 115 volt outlet if its is also reading low ,like 100 or 105 volts then the power ccompany is cutting power back and theres nothing you can do.

Craftsman snow thrower. headlight stopped working. i tested voltage from alternator and have nothing

The voltage from the alternator is AC, and will increase/decrease with the engine speed, so when checking, run the engine at full throttle. 1/2 of the alternator is not used, the other 1/2 is used to power the light. Also, inspect the light harness plug-in just above or below the starter. Check for being disconnected, burnt, or wiring pinched around the starter mounting area. Lastly, check the bulb with a 12 volt battery, connecting one bulb spade to the + connection of the battery, and the other spade to the - connection.

If you are able to open the side of the Case that supports the Pc board, and get a flashlight, there is a Fuse that is usually connected inside that area. Of course make sure the power is off before looking.

Good Luck!

Air not working

The first thing to check is incoming 120VAC power to the unit. This voltage must be 115Volts domestic USA with no less than -10% allowable. If your voltage is below this point, the unit will not work. If your voltage is ok, check the thermostat or selector switch. Make sure that the thermostat (if wall mounted) has 12VDC running to it. If it does not, fix that problem first. If it is manual control, check the selector switch for ok. You should have incoming 120VAC power to the switch and when the High/Cool is selected, check the following.

Terminals LI and C, and L1 and 1 should have continuity. If not, replace selector switch.

Hope this helps,

Jeff
