Adjust the chain until you can pull on it and it will come away from the bar but will not hang from the bar. If that does not solve your problem then the chain or drive gear is worn out. If the oiler is not working it is for sure worn out.

Why does my electramac leaks oil

The chain oil feed is a gravity feed and will continue to feed when you put the saw down. Empty the chain oil resoivour when the machine is being stored. or store it in a driptray.

Oil leak mcculloch electramac em250 ?

You have a cracked tank, or busted chain oiler. Will have to take apart to view the chain oiler , and check if oil is puddling just under the oil tank. There is some epoxy sealers, or gas tank stop leak material that can possibly repair the busted or leaking oil tank.

The blade on my McCulloch Electramac EM250-14 came off. How do I put it back on? Dan Enright

I am not familier with this machine, hoever the principle is the same for most machines, start by removeing the bar nut/nuts, remove the side cover, wind the chain adjuster screw fully back it may be in the saw or in the side cover, push the guide bar fully back, now loop the chain over the sprocket and lay it into the top of the guide bar, and around the tip, the cutting edge of the chain in the top of the guide bar should be facing away from the saw ( the chain rotates clockwise as you look at it ) replace the side cover, make sure the adjuster pawl is in the hole in the guide bar, assemble the nut/nuts finger tight, now adjust the bar so as the chain is touching all the way around the guide bar, with a gloved hand pull the chain around the bar manually to make sure it is properly on the sprocket, re tention the chain if required, lift the tip of the bar and fully tighten the bar nut/nuts, the chain should not sag on the bottom of the guide bar.

Chain comes off mcculloch electramac em250 chain saw

Your chain is too loose or it is worn out. Adjust the tension on the chain. The chain should not hang away from the bar but should be loose enough that you can pull it away from the bar with not much effort. Adjust the tension until it is set correctly.

McMulloch EM250 motor spins but the chain does not move

your problem is a simple one. the chain is too tight. loosen the two nuts that hold the bar in place and use a flat blade screw driber to turn the tension screw a wee bit to loosen the chain just a little. finally spray some wd-40 or other lube on the bar and chain and you will be fine.
